After crossing to the "far side of forever" to marry her ghostly suitor, Sam returns to try to convince her stubborn uncle that he is wrong in his thinking about whom his daughters should marry.
This is the 3rd book in Yates' Angel series. Sam Hackett has accepted a celestial assignment to return to earth to set to rights 3 eternal contracts that have gone awry due to celestial clerical errors. Sam's two cousins, Lisa and Julie MacGregor and their father, J.T. are at odds over dad's insistence that his daughter's marry his choices for their mates. These two grown women have other ideas about who is right for them. Sam's assignment is to convince her beloved, but stubborn, uncle to trust his daughter's choices for eternal mates. Before all is said and done, Sam will enlist the aid of her angelic husband, Jason, to accomplish the happy endings for Lisa and Julie and also for J.T. These books are fun reads for me. They are a nice, gentle approach to LDS doctrine on eternal life.
sequel to just call me an angel by dan yates. discovering that her beloved uncle had decided to take over matchmaking for her two young cousins, julie and lisa and that it would void contracts made in the celestial realm, samantha and jason are again on assignment. this time though it is to make sure that three contracts for eternal companions are fulfilled. the most difficult part of the assignment falls to samantha who has to try to persuade her stubborn and lonely uncle that the girls can and should marry the men they have fallen in love with, not the rich and slightly shady characters that he feels would be best for them. as usual in this series the laughs are frequent, and tears come at unexpected times. If you believe in eternal life, marriage and love you will really enjoy this book series, I promise.
I enjoyed this one better than the first book. Angel Samantha gets an assignment to help her Uncle change his way of thinking about who his daughters should marry. They want to marry for love, he wants them to marry for money. Fun read.
