Guo Jingming (Chinese: 郭敬明; Pinyin: Guo Jing Ming) born on June 6, 1983 is a Chinese YA writer. In addition to being an author and businessperson, Guo is also a teen pop idol and popular celebrity figure. On the other hand, Guo is a polarizing figure. In 2007, he was voted on Tianya.com, one of the country’s biggest online forums, as China’s "most hated male celebrity" for the third year in a row. Yet three of his four novels have sold over a million copies each, and by 2007, he was one of the best selling authors in China.
Guo Jingming is the president of Ke Ai Entertainment Company, which was established in 2004 by himself. Ke Ai mainly produces teen magazines such as “Top Novel” and “Island". In 2008, Guo Jingming signed a contract with Tian Yu Entertainment Company. Soon after, Guo was hired by Changjiang Publishing House in 2009 as a vice editor. Guo Jingming was the youngest member in China’s Writers Association when he was just 23 years old. Guo is also an occasional screenwriter.

He is also known as Quách Kính Minh among Vietnamese fans.

70% plot sama antara novel dan siri drama versi wuxianya. Namun adalah satu kemujuran juga plotnya diolah semula oleh produksi kerana terdapat banyak lompong dan kecelaruan plot juga dalam novel asalnya kerana penulis baru berusia 19 tahun waktu novel ini diterbitkan. Namun kekuatan novel dan siri wuxia ini adalah pada organisasi watak dan perwatakan mereka terutama pada kekuatan penulis menjelmakan suatu dunia make believe ala ala dunia tribal begitu.

Initially I read this book because of shi , since I didn't get the end . The book give us a short intro , the brothers bond (was well explained in the movie),the arch of the western guardian was the best it would have been much better if they had used the same pattern in the movie ,the dream given to the king at various stages give us the insite of the missing pieces , compared to the movie I respected ka so in the book but everything came to an end when took his own life it's like he ran away ,he couldn't save his team mates his kingdom, gave up hope .The title of the book should have been the Hearts Desire.

I realy enjoyed watching the tv set Ice Fantasy and I believe the book is amazing too. It is a pity that the book is not translated at all, because I think it could be worldwide trending book as The Lord of The Rings. The world, the characters and the story will make you believe that there is actually such a dimension, and you will want to live there forever. Its unforgettable experience and I recommend for all of you to watch the drama.

I am not sure if I read this one or another translation, but Ying Kong Shi, one of the main characters, is incredibly sadistic to the point of making this an unenjoyable read. It is also a very depressing read that leaves the reader feeling disappointed. There are no good takeaways that leave the reader pondering at length or desiring more. The TV show is much better; although, it is a Chinese drama and has all of those aspects.

Prefiero el live action.
Los personajes son demasiado extremos en la novela. Ka Suo muy depresivo, Shi muy sádico, Li Luo y Lan Shang muy resignadas a su destino. Y no existe Yan Da! Uno de mis personajes favoritos de LA.
En fin, al menos es una lectura rápida en comparación con los 62 episodios del LA.

La fantasía creada por el autor es original sin perder el toque que caracteriza a la cultura China. La historia te engancha desde el principio, sin embargo el final lo sentí bastante flojo, realmente creo que el cierre careció de la originalidad presente a lo largo de la historia.
