Being familiar only with my local cohort of poets, this gave a great intro to the Canadian literary landscape. A collection of reviews and discussions amongst new writers, Canadian greats and much in between, this felt like a great primer to reading and interpreting the canon of Canadian poetry.
It also offered interesting insight into what makes poetry "good" or at least masterful, especially in the realm of scientific poetics and poems with a sense of place.
I got a lot of book recommendations from it too so that's a bonus! Thanks Jim for sharing your insights and wealth of experience.
