What will a man do for his family? If you’re a Medlov, the answer is anything.

Dmitry Medlov, former boss of the Medlov Crime Family, is finally happy with his life. His legacy has been passed on to his heir, Anatoly, and his family is flourishing with birth of his new twin sons. However, everything is shattered when his little girl is abducted from her school only days after his sons’ births.
The question with Dmitry having so many enemies is who has her? A supporter of Dorian, a follower of Ivan or family of the council members he slaughtered? No one knows.

A ransom is put on the young girl in the amount of $500 million – a price Dmitry is more than ready to pay – but the fear in everyone’s heart is even if he pays, will she live?

Everyone comes together and puts aside their differences to save her. Dmitry returns to the council, Anatoly steps aside and Gabriel takes his rightful place as a Vor.

Anya is the key to the very foundation of the family and her father’s fleeting sanity. With her missing, Dmitry’s rage is unleashed unlike anyone has ever seen before.

Gabriel used to serve the very government that he is about to defy as he learns what it means to be a true Medlov.

And Anatoly is forced to grow up when he not only finds out that the little girl he’s loved her entire life has been stolen but also that he’s about to be a father himself.

Read the last book of the Medlov Crime Family Series, guaranteed to top all others, as the men discover that the only thing more important than money and power is family

"Saving Anya" is by far my favorite in The Medlov Crime series and it really demonstrated just how Dmitry, Anatoly and Gabriel along with paid assassins and contacts would go to get sweet Anya Medlov back.

Davyd, a great man was killed while trying to save Anya Medlov. Revenge reared it ugly head again in the Medlov family... where two enemies from Dmitry's past seeks vengeance by taking someone he love dearly, his first born child. But know this, Papa Dmitry Medlov has connections everywhere even in the CIA... SO PAYBACK IS A TRULY A B@TCH because THE BUTCHER AND THE CZAR IS BACK!!!!!

OBSERVATION: Poor Royal really got to see another side of her husband when he leads! He takes no mess even as his child is being held by a hateful kidnapper and his estranged sister! When he asked to speak to Anya, uh he meant it and they both had no other choice but to bowed to his command! Now that's a power man in a three-piece suit!

Oh and those torture scenes were so well written and detailed!

5 'I highly recommend this series' stars!

I just finished reading Book #4 in the Medlov Series. I'm obsessed with the Medlov men!!! All I can say is that Dmitry is oh sooooo HOT!
Tattoos, 7ft tall,  full of sinewy muscles, plus he's always dressed so dapper and charming. And everyone knows that I love a well-dressed man! And I can just imagine his sexy Russian accent; just makes me tremble.  I love me some powerful Alpha Males! I would not mind being married to the mob if it means that I can have a man like Dmitry Medlov!

I'm about to start reading The Chronicles of Young Dmitry Medlov by Latrivia S. Nelson
this book 1 of 4. It's a flashback series chronicling the events of a young Dmitry and how he becomes the most powerful Czar Crime Boss!

I have read the other Medlov crime family books and have mixed feelings about this one. Royal is never shown having much of a relationship with Anya. The second book showed here going through PPD so she avoided Anya. When Royal find out that she has been kidnapped she starts screaming and basically became a shrew till the end. You don't see her be a parent or show the kind of connection to the children that Dmitri displays. Unfortunately, Royal has become more and more unlikable with each book. Then there is Anatoly who I have never liked and this story did not change my opinion. I don't know why Renee and Anatoly are a couple when there is no connection or chemistry between them. Renee gets pregnant and Anatoly acts like an idiot. It felt like he proposed out of obligation. Renee, on the other hand, kept throwing herself at him; she seemed so desperate. It looked like she just wanted a rich husband. Then there is Briggy; an absolute train wreck. In the past she worked as a maid in the Medlov home where slept with Anatoly and other guests. She is in a relationship with Gabriel and is very needy b/c she wants a better status than what she had. At one point she gets turned on from seeing Dimitri naked which didn't make any sense. Gabriel decides not to take their relationship any further then dating which shows that he does not value her. Her character was such a parasite. Lastly, my biggest problem with the book is the parts discussing human trafficking. Dimitri threatens to kill someone's family and sell the children which is disgusting. Then we find out that Dimitri has known the whereabouts of the biggest seller of children and has done nothing but once Anya is in danger, Dimitri has the man killed. Then he has no problem taking care of the rescued children. He even gets angry at the men who wanted to buy and sell Anya, but he has no problem doing that to someone else's kids. I understand that Dimitri is a dangerous man but anyone who condones the buying and selling of children, even remotely, is unredeemable. I loved Dimitri until this book. I am really disappointed in the author.

In this installment of the Medlov Crime Family, a happily retired Dimity and Royal are enjoying their family with the birth of their twin boys and all is well in the world, until the unthinkable happens. Dimity’s pride and joy Anya has been kidnapped. The news sends Royal into hysterics and awakens Dmitry’s killer instinct. With him having so many enemies, he has no idea who has his precious baby. Taking no chances he calls the only people he can trust, his son and his nephew. Anatoly loves his life and has really stepped into his role as Czar. His love for Renee is what keeps him going, but when he receives a call from his father stating someone has dared to take his sister & a surprise from Renee that he too will be a father, he and his lady head to Prague to support their loved ones and try and deal with the news that they will be parents. At the same time, half way around the world Gabriel and Briggy are happily enjoying each other and with the 35 million dollar inheritance he received, hiding from the U.S. Government is not at all bad, but when his uncle tells him that his cousin is kidnapped, he and Briggy go to Prague where he is more than willing to prove he is a real Medlov and take down who ever has taken her. With everyone assembled, family secrets are revealed. Love and relationships are tested while the Medlovs fight to get Anya back.
Great book, I loved it. This is the kind of book that has everything love, drama, suspense and family. The story flowed so well and the real issues that each couple was dealing with such as, Anatoly’s conflicting emotions about being a father and Renee feeling like he didn’t want the baby also, Gabriel and Briggy dealing with their own insecurities with each other, were such strong sub stories that they could have been books all their own. I could feel Royals pain at her baby being gone and Dmitry’s rage was palpable. I could feel their love grow and be put to the test all while trying to find Anya, who proved that she, is defiantly Dimity’s daughter. I hope we get more of these books forever. I love them.

I had been waiting for this book for a while. I can say it was definitely worth the wait. I enjoyed it immensely and found it a fitting ending for Dmitry/Royal and Anatoly/Renee (I would have said Gabriel/Bridget too but her reaction to an accidental run-in made me somewhat side-eye the character in the end). Loved the angst, the action and the layers. Good times. I totally recommend.

Have I mentioned that I would love to see this series as a movie, likely on Lifetime? Cause I really would.

Anyhoo, I'd read that the author will continue to write Medlov stories but for the next generation, so I am going to assume that means Anya and Alexandria, at the very least, will be getting stories. I'm hoping Gabriel might get a story too. =)

Innocence loss for a little girl!

"Vengence is mine says the Lord." Some people are just so greedy and eaten up with revenge that they fail to see the bigger picture. The author wrote a story that proves that the love of family is everything. Dmitry gave up being Czar to take care of his family and returned to being the Czar to retrieve his only daughter. He has come full circle from being a butcher to a loving father and husband and is forced to become a butcher again so that he can leave a legacy of "do no f*ck with the Medlov family". I just hated the fact that Anya was kidnapped and forced to kill a man. How can a young child recover from being kidnapped, and losing her grandfather figure Davyd at the same time?
What she does know is that her father, brother, and cousin will burn the earth down to find and rescue her. She is a precious little gem who shows love to everyone. Even Manon, Dmitry's sister was taken by her personality. Poor Royal is about to have a heart attack from the fact that her baby's been kidnapped. She had to learn to let Dmitry do what he does best. Dmitry had to make sure that she understood this is what he has to be to get their baby back. Gabriel is starting to learn his place in the family and proves his trustworthiness to his family by helping to retrieve Anya. Anatoly even came to the realization that he was not as ready to become czar as he thought he was. During this story, he has grown from being a selfish self-absorbed young man to a loving man towards Renee, who wants to love and protect her and their baby with everything he can be.
Latrivia writes about this complicated Medlov family with the reader sitting on the edge of their seats, anxious about what will happen next. The mystery and suspense in this story is well thought out and executed. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series.

NOTE: Update after re-reading on 8 Aug 2024 Boy, Dmitry dug deep into his past life to pull out the butcher. He just showed everyone why you don't mess with his family and the people he loves. He tried to live a normal life but jealous and vengeful folks just won't leave him alone.

I was in the mood for the Medlov's after I read two of the Battaglia Mafia series back to back. I try not to read 2 books of the same series back to back anymore but it was good, and to stop myself from reading another one I went back to where I first fell in love with a mafia family.

This story was good but not nearly as good as Dmitry's Closet (The Medlov Crime Family, #1), Dmitry’s Royal Flush: Rise of the Queen (The Medlov Crime Family, #2), and Anatoly Medlov: Complete Reign (The Medlov Crime Family, #3). I found myself missing Crazy Ivan. This book seemed to focus a lot on letting us know how rich Dmitry was and I don't remember them caring much before. Actually, the characters didn't seem to care still but the author kept putting it out there and it got repetitive. I love Anya and if the author wanted to she could make this girl into something special in a crime family. Hopefully if she does he doesn't lose her way and get wrapped up in a woman's feeling so much that she ends up like Manon. I also don't want to see a twin rivalry of brother again brother with the twins. That played out already with Ivan and Dmitry (not twins but the brother vs brother rivalry is a old thing). I would much rather see it where the split 2 division and all 3 of them run things. They made it a point to say family first so I hope they stick to it.

The book had quite few errors too. I don't remember it being that many in the previous books. I still love the Medlov's though, Dmitry and Royal...I love their love.

No joke! Anya didn't take too long to figure out what was happening and she was on point letting the men know what was going to happen. The three of the guys together was really good. The shower scene was hot and pulls you right in to the emotions going on in this part of the story.I think Royal should've stepped up though, she had more then enough opportunities to put on her big girl panties and stomp with the big dogs. I so wanted her to wild out on the CIA guy maybe in blackout and accuse him of being the one but for Dmitry to knock the guy away before she could or something. Gabriel I think still needs to toughen up, him a Briggy don't seem like they will work in the long run. The mess she pulled after his office was just sad. I think he should've spent those months tracking the guys on the list so he could at least have some bodies on him. The story still leaves questions unanswered though. Like, what happened with the girls? What happened with Balthazar or how long did he last? Did they get the money back? Either way this was a great read and the ending makes me want to read whatever is going on with him. Can't wait!

Medlov Men

Me Nelson is such an excellent storyteller. These men almost make me want to go out and find me a Russian. This particular book had all the men from and center and kept the reader engaged and riveted. The storyline was intense and heartbreaking. Some old friends from the previous books are lost.
I loved the devotion of Dmitry and Anatoly to their women. I'm not really sold on the pairing of Brigitte and Gabriel. Love little Anya, she's going to be a Firecracker.
Now for some Editorial complaints. The proofreaders and editors are not doing Me Nelson any favors. The words "titled" and "tilted" are not interchangeable not do they mean the same thing. However, throughout the booked, a person was constantly "titling" their head, which doesn't make sense. Another error that drive "batty" was the incorrect use of the Common acknowledgement for Yes or No. In Ms Nelson's books. Nodding was used for No, when in most circles, people Nod their heads for Yes and "Shake" their heads for No. Using these movements in the reverse left a confusing picture in the reader's "mindseye," just my opinion.

Latrivia continues the series without missing a beat! This series has everything in it....love, anger, family, crime, suspense. Someone brought out the worst in Dmitry Medlov in this book as I'm sure you may guess by the title. Never forget what Dmitry is and who he is. As you read this one, you certainly get the opportunity to try and figure it out on your own and it just might not be what you think or who you think is causing the issue. Definitely worth the time and energy to read.

Wow ... I am definitely sad to see this series go. Still, I believe that it was done justice and I am glad I got the opportunity to share in this story.

We lost a few of our own in this one and even though necessary, still made me sad. This story was written to pull you in and make you feel like a apart of the family, so a loss from the family affected us also.

The grammatical errors rolled on as usual in vast amounts and the broken English that usually accompanied this novel to give it a more Russian feel was missing and I didn't like that fact at all. It's what contributed to the realness and difference of the book. But now it seems everyone is speaking proper English even Anatoly.

Even though the focus was about saving the big baby of the family, we still got our individual Medlov men fix and even though I was so anxious, I had to skip to the end just to make sure they came out alive before I continue reading, I was still glad that we got to catch up with everyone and see the changes as they happened.

Surprisingly, I connected with each and every one of the characters in this one. Where as before I couldn't place my feelings for them, I got it right this time and I wonder if it's the situation or deliberate on the part of the author ... or maybe it's my own epiphany. Either way, Anya brought more than the family together.

As usual the situations, scenes and confrontation were meticulously conveyed down to a T and I have never seen such finer story telling as it relates to combat, negotiation and confrontation. Dmitry was king and Gabriel and Anatoly were like a sexy pair of assassins.

As usual, the final fight scene was mellow with a side of excitement. It wasn't over the top or understated. It had the right balance and was executed wonderfully.

With all that was happening, we still got our laughs and once again the narrative was on point. This book could have never been told in any other way and even when we spent more time discussing the happenings than having dialogues, it was the right move and kept me interested until my eyes couldn't stay open anymore.

I was pleased that all the characters kept the traits we loved about them. Especially Anatoly. He was the most important in keeping character for me and he did just that. If ever there was an award for realness, Anatoly would get it, because nothing changed him. Not even a potential wife and kid on the way. He was Anatoly from book 1, just grown with a lot more calm.

Gabriel's transition was done wonderfully also and to add more reality to the novel, he kept his cause despite the pressures and requirements. He felt no need to fill a mold and closed off the book a better Gabriel with his reservations still in tact. Lust never blinded him and commitment never scared or bind him. He did himself and no one else!

The ladies were together and add that element that they always possessed. Briggy confused me a lot in this installment as she seem to be unable to pick a Medlov. Security is a wench I guess!

I was surprised that Anya got some time for herself also out of this novel and while I am not sure if this traumatized her, she was still a strong rock and better than many women . If I was to ever have a child, I would love for them to be like Anya especially at age 5.

Dmitry was a completely different character than what we have read across the series. I wonder if this is what he will be like when I embark on his chronicles. If so, I can't wait!

The man was a force to be reckoned with and everything he did, he did with finesse, grace and understated elegance. The man was beyond an enigma and even in his mind he made me tremble.
He definitely changed to get this task completed. He was not Dmitry Medlov father and husband, he was a Czar and boy was it hot!!

I loved this book just as much as the others and it is right there with Anatoly's story with regards to ranks.

Great series about family, love, retribution, fear and so much more. Secrets were still there and even being created as we read. It was a triple threat in a wrapped up treat.

I could totally see this book as a television series. Someone should pick up the rights. It's not the Sopranos, it's the Medlov's!

P.S. Nice ease into Agosto's story.

This is my favorite book of the series. Dimitry is back. He is boss and he is beyond sexy with all of his badassness. I love this family. My only complaint was that this book ended. I wanted more.

Anya was kidnapped and everyone in the family had to come to the family Chateau in Prague for protection and to find Anya. After reading Anatoly's story, I was so interested in him and what he was doing that I was forgetting that Anya was kidnapped.

I was on the edge in this one. I was so mad at the kidnappers. How dare they do this to a Medlov. I thought Anya was awesome. She is strong and smart like her parents.

I love Anatoly in action. I can just envision his confidence and swagger. I like Gabriel, the cousin. He was trying his best to fit in, and that's all we can ask for. As long as he didn't take anything away for Anatoly, I was okay with him.

The Medlov story ended perfectly. I read this book in one day and I still wanted more.

Latrivia is now one of my favorite authors. Keep up the good work.

4.5 stars -- Well I have been waiting for awhile to finally read the conclusion to the Medlov family saga. I'm so happy for the ending for these characters. Latrivia is a very good story teller. I have adored Dmitry from the first word in book #1 of this series.

Why I loved it? The men especially Anatoly and Dmitry. I really like Anatoly's coming to terms with his self and life as he knew it.

There were editing issues but it did not detract from the story that Mrs. Nelson created. Just sad to see their 'saga' end. For all those who have been following from the first book, I can't see how you could be disappointed.

Yes, yes, yes, she's done it. This book adressed all the issues that were left untouched in previous books.
They talk about the kids being black, about race and discrimination. Its about time, Latrivia

Anya, Royal and Dmitry's princes gets kidnapped. And Dmitry gets badass to get his baby girl back!! The hottest sentence in the book is when Dmitry says to Royal:

I will get her back but to do so, i have to become a man that you dont know...........

Or something like that. Im not going to say too much but Dmitry was like Spartacus in this book:

I have been waiting on this conclusion to the Medlov family for quite sometime and it was good it was a nice conclusion to this family story but not a well written as the 3 previous stories. Maybe this should have been a longer story would have liked to see more romance withe couples and more detail in the revenge taken upon the people that went against Dimitry. This was a good read but I felt like the story was rushed and missing depth.I love Dimitry with his bad self, wanted more of Gaberial's and Ana's story together.I would love more of The Medlov crime family in the future

That was a nice little wrap up to the series. I really enjoyed it and I just LOVE the Medlov stories - characters are great, the storylines keep you interested and aside from the need for simple editing, I like Nelson's writing style. Being inside the characters heads is not a chore, you really find yourself getting into them. I found myself wishing it could continue and I just couldn't put them down. This book was no exception, I'm so going to miss Dmitry and Anatoly especially! Highly recommend if you're looking for a good solid romance/bit of action.

Dimitry and the gang is back at it. I like the fact that the character Dimitry remains true to his makeup: he is painted as loving and stalwart in his feelings for his loved ones and will do all possible to make sure his loved ones are protected. No matter what, I still do not like the way Royal is written. At times she is written quite silly as if the author needs to contrive some sort of out of the left field emotion to effect drama and tension between the couple. It often seems terribly contrived and off putting to me. Over all not a bad book.

This book was some wicked ride. I always knew Dimitry was ruthless, but he took it to a whole other level here. He showed that you do not mess with the Medlov's. His and Royal's relationship is stronger than ever with the birth of their twins. Anatoly has come a long way in his relationship with Renee. I'm glad he sorted out his demons regarding having his own family. I am loving Gabriel as well. I need to read more about him!!! This saga just gets better and better with each book I read, and I cannot wait until the next one.
