Excellent book

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of Commissaire Haas.Makes a pleasant change to read a book set in a Country that some of us know only for its beer and waffles.

A little mystery set in 1970's Antwerp. An apparently harmless old man is murdered. Politics hands the case to a branch of the police that usually deals with foreigners. Commissaire Haas runs with the apparently unimportant little case and winds up uncovering more than anyone bargained for.

Nice depiction of Antwerp and Belgium which really rang true for me --- I lived in Holland at the time and spent some time in Belgium too. It was almost like going home.
