I really liked this series at the start but I am less than impressed with people who have superpowers and in a week or two can single handedly
solve a case other agencies have been working on for years.
And Hirsch is still whining. 🤮

Holy Cow she does it again!

As much as this book left me speechless I will find the words to tell you about it so you can RUN & read it too!

This is book #9 in her Martina Monroe series and it’s another hit. Fast paced and well written this book takes you through some emotions. You catch up with some old colleagues after the end of the last book. You see an awesome progression in their lives and how they get to work together again. The characters are written out perfectly and the details make it seem you are watching a movie. I truly didn’t see any of the twists coming so that’s always a big plus for me. The bad guys are just that, bad guys who you want to take down just as bad as the main characters and you get to see how they are woven into this fast paced story. The ending I thought was perfect and I cannot wait until the next one is written and I can get my hands on it!

Martina Monroe is back working as a private investigator at Drakos, now Drakos Monroe Security & Investigations. She has her name in there now! She still misses working with Detective Hirsch on the cold case team though. A new case comes in for them, a girl Katie, missing for two years. Her parents thought she ran away with her boyfriend Atlas, but after two years they haven’t heard a thing from her. Her parents want this settled now. Martina decides to help her investigator Vincent take the case and they are swept up into it. I have enjoyed all of the Martina Monroe books so far. There are different cases with each book, yet a progressive storyline with the main characters themselves. I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review.

Amazing book, amazing characters, amazing author! Need I say more? The storyline was engaging and the crime well plotted. There were a few surprises with the characters but they only enhanced the story.

The new team of Martina and Vincent was interesting, not negative just different. And Hirsch as the man in charge of his team was surprising, only because of his love of being out in the field. But I love strong female characters and men who can let them lead.

Check out this book, it will definitely hook you on the series.

Another Great Read

Finished another great book in the Martina Monroe Series. Having a storyline that is based on true events this work of fiction is a great read. For those following along on the stories of Martina and Hirsch there are updates on their personal lives along with them working together again to solve crime. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Great book

As always H.K. Christie wrote another great book, but I was disappointed the book jumped ahead 5 years. I was very curious to read about how Martina, Hirsch, and the rest of the squad handled the Cold Case Dept being done and how they would continue on with their personal and work lives. I didn’t expect the book to jump 5 years and to miss everything during that time

I think I've read all of the Martina Monroe books and while I enjoy the mystery, I find the characters to be cardboard. Dialogue seems stiff and unnatural and all of the main (regular) characters are just too wonderful (no one is average). Thank heavens I can get past all the hero worship (Martina and Hirsch; Vincent and Martina or Hirsch) to focus on the storyline.

Science that different organizations can work together

Great read and a well written mystery. Between the cops, detectives,, the PI, DEA a job well done. On occasion it must happen in real life. We can only hope. But, everyone worked together to get the job done. Can't wait for the next great read.

A young woman is missing, the deeper they look into it, the more dangerous.
A plot that deals with Martina, her life, a strong woman, and with a good team of investigators. Enjoyed reading, it drew one in from the beginning. Given arc for my voluntary review

Martina is now running the Private Investigation firm she is a partner in. With her co-worker Vincent they take on a missing person's case that turns out to be so much more. Exciting story.

Martina Monroe is enjoying being a PI. She assists on a missing girl case, where she gets to work with some old friends. You see the story through the eyes of not only the detectives, but the victim too. Plenty of danger, secrets, lies, twists and turns to keep you invested.

This one disappointed me. 2 PIs solve this huge DEA case & get a murderer a deal?
Meh. I hope the next one is better, now that we’ve established the new working relationship.
Also Hirstch didn’t do anything & got all the credit?

Love the series

This author does a great job of intertwining multiple people in the book and then bringing it all back together. Her books keep you reading until the end. Looking forward to the next in the series.

started a little slow

As in the previous books it started a little slow, but the reader needed to get the background details to understand what was going on in story. But then it picked up and it seemed that the plants were eventually woven together.
