This was an outstanding suspenseful story about a pair of abused children, the responding officer and their parents. It was short but fully realized in character, plot line and motivation. Saying too much would give the story away as it's so short but, trust me, this is one not to miss.
This is a really dark little story. This was a freebie from the kindle store. It is just too short. It is based in part on a true story, and we are left to guess which part is true. I'll leave that for you to figure out. I will say it is disturbing that any part of this one is true. It's too short to give too much of the plot out. It won't take you 10 minutes to read it. There is a pretty good size preview of a new book at the end of the story. This would have been better if it was longer. Our first person narrator's character seemed interesting and I would have liked to see his character develop a little more. Worth checking out for a lunch or break time read.
