I really enjoyed this eighth foray into the world of Detective Carol Ashton. Two bodies are found posed in a T formation on the lawn of an extremist right wing politician; one happens to be the friend of his son from the town he grew up in. Ashton is put in charge of the case, complicated when a police officer is killed by a bomb. The right wing militia group in this has disturbing parallels to the crazy Alt-Right groups active in the US at this time. Is it an incredible mystery? No, but the story is till very engaging and keeps the reader wanting to read on.
