*Beta copy* I loved this book. It was magic! (lame, I know). Anora is just as awesome, and Ethan is just as dreamy. I can't wait for the rest of Em's fans to get their hands on this one.

After reading the first book in this series, I was excited and impatient to read the next one. I will state now that I read the book in less than 24 hours and then took time to think of my true thoughts of where Anora's story has headed. I have mixed feelings about this book for a couple of reasons but I still enjoyed another Anora story. This being said, here are my thoughts.

Anora has went from a high school teenager to a young woman living in her own home with her boyfriend. This makes a large impact on the story. Also, Reaper had much more paranormal than Unbound. In my opinion, Unbound best fit with the YA genre and Reaper brings the series away from that. This is not necessarily a bad thing though.

I hated losing the best friend, Laney, because I felt that there could be way more to her character. I did enjoy that Harrison was in Reaper because his character is one that seems to grow. He has always been said to be a preppy jock that fits all of the criteria for that position, blond, blue eyed, party animal, player, etc. Even in Unbound, I knew that Harrison was more than that. He is becoming a man and I really do anticipate seeing just who that man will be.

Anora has become a stronger witch but she longs for friends now since she has left hers in New York. Ethan encourages her to go out and mingle. She finds new friends that are open to the idea of the paranormal being a reality, Keith and Rene. This helps Anora be able to settle into her new life.

There is a new evil presence after Anora. This is trifling to the couple. At the beginning of Reaper, Ethan has left to do a demon hunting job with the Order. Anora has sent Hunter with him. After he returns Sam the Jealous, as I like to call her, stops by for a visit and tries to make trouble for Ethan and Anora yet again. She also accidently brings along some of the reaper demons that the Order had been hunting.Ethan took Anora to a tavern that the Order runs and it is there that Anora over hears some kids talking about how awesome Ethan is but also how he would never be stupid enough to date a witch or mess with magic. This makes Anora begin to question if Ethan and the other members of the Order have been telling her everything.

By the end of Reaper, Anora has to defeat a big bad evil that even other members of her own coven could not defeat. Reaper leaves a lot of room for book number three. This is not only because of the cliffhanger ending but also because so many questions are left unanswered. These questions leave me puzzled in an irritated way, yet I still enjoyed the story. I give book two a 4 instead of a 5 because I was hoping to have a little more of Anora's background and the Order explained. I felt like I was being stringed one way and then I was taken another. It is still a good book and I would strongly recommend the series. I will be waiting to read the third book as soon as it is available.

Exciting Second Book in the Guardian Legacies Series

*Received an ARC for an honest review*

This book gives you all the great stuff that I loved in the first book, and then some!! *This is book 2 in her Guardian Legacies Series, you really need to read Unbound - book 1, to get a better understanding of the characters and their background. You could possibly read this one without the first, but I highly recommend that you read them in order.*

After what had happened to her brother and her friend, Anora felt that it would be better for her to move away and live in her Aunts house that was left to her when her Aunt died. She felt she would be safer from those that hunted her and that her family would be safer without her being near them. And, she just might find some things there that are helpful to her, after all her Aunt was part of the coven and she needed to find out all that she could about her daggar and her coven.

Ethan is out on a hunt and insisted that Anora stay at home where the house is spelled to protect her and hide her identity. She wants to be out there, with him, helping.
--* I wished I could go with on the hunt. Being a witch from the Coven of Sacred Guardians came with more perks than being able to do magic. My coven was famous for our daggers, daggers that could kill any demon with a single stab.
Ethan’s father, David, insisted that we keep my witch identity a secret. As far as they knew, I was the last remaining witch from my coven, and hunters would be all over me with requests of spells and trying out the dagger, even though we recently discovered that someone from the coven had to do the actual stabbing. It had been believed for centuries that the dagger itself could kill demons, regardless of who was holding it.

So many things happen in this book, I don't want to spoil it, but things that you knew, things that Anora thought she knew, is not what she thought. She still has things coming after her, she is still wanted by Demons that want to take her power. This book will give you chills and keep you entranced from beginning to end, like being under a witch's spell. :)

I love all the new characters that are popping up, good and evil. Emily did a great job of creating creatures and situations that will leave you holding your breath until you get the outcome of the situations. If you love paranormal and really liked the first book, you will definitely want to read this one too!

I am sad to say I only got halfway through this book before I just couldn't read anymore. I got this book from the author who was nice enough to give it to me in exchange for a review. I know I only got halfway through but I will still try to explain why I couldn't finish.

The first one I thought was good and figured I'd give the second one a try but after realizing that the characters are still going to be immature, clueless and slightly annoying I just couldn't finish it. This book starts off a couple of months after the first. Annie and Ethan are living together. Annie is feeling homesick and starts going crazy. Shes seeing things, like a burning man, that no one even her guardian can see. The book goes on with Ethan, Annie and a few new friends trying to figure out what is going on. I just felt like the book kept doing the same thing over again.

Now I can't stand Harry, he is just stupid, reckless, immature and only cares about himself. When he screws up, which he does a lot, he blames it on everyone but himself. Laney doesn't play a big role but I still liked her. Now there are some gruesome things that I flipped out over and they always ended up getting me more confused and wondering why this was put in. This book just wasn't for me.

This book picks up a couple months after the first book end. Anora has settled into her new house living with Ethan. She begins hallucinating and soon realises that someone or something is out to get her. Again.

The book starts out a little slowly, mostly centering around the things attacking Anora which Hunter (her Guardian dog) and Ethan cant see. She thinks she's going crazy and the story seems to drag a little as it seems nothing real is going on. Soon you realise its all building to something much bigger and then the story doesn't let up until the end.
While Anora learns more about her magic there are more questions asked and left unanswered about her abilities. Which is great for us readers as it gives us something to look forward to in the next instalment.

There is a lot going on in this book. (in a good way)

Anora and Ethan are settle in their new home/town.

When Ethan leaves on an assignment Anora starts having hallucination, her reality gets very confusing. Even Ethan doesn't know what to make of it .. not really trusting Anora 100%.
Until she get pulled into an alternated universe and escape.
She makes new friends (even a Fairy and demons) and try to find out who is messing with her head and why.

I like this book even more than the first one!!! The i like the flow of the story once the action start its none stop until the last page of the book.
really looking forward to the 3rd book!

There was a bit too much going on and I think it dragged the story down a bit, but I really enjoyed it because the characters. New friends - who are a riot - more powers, and a good story. I'm ready for book 3

Kind of funny

I thought this was a good book. It was funny and had a good story line. I really liked the main characters as well as the supporting characters. I think they should have included more about the fairy, where he came from and why he was there.

There were times I felt this book was tedious. But, I did enjoy reading more about Ethan's background. I'm also looking forward to Anora finding more of her Coven. And I just adore Hunter. :)
