Another quality Fodor book

I've always liked the format and the thoroughness of Fodor guide books. This book on America's national parks is no exception.

It is 500+ pages. It is arranged in alphabetical order by state.There are some color pictures at the front of the book but most parks do not have pictures included.

At the beginning of the book, there are general state maps with the locations of the parks marked on them.

Included about each park/site:

* Historical information
* What to See and Do, which includes tips on when best to visit
* Food, Lodging and Supplies - includes camping info, hotels, restaurants, groceries
* Fees, Hours and Regulations
* How to Get There
* Contacts

It would have been nice to have GPS coordinates for the parks, campgrounds, etc. but they are NOT included.

The book I received shows a 2013 copyright and shows it is the 14th edition.

It includes coverage on all 397 national parks, plus scenic trails, battlefields and other historic sites.

This is a great reference book for RVers and all travelers checking out National Parks in the United States.

Have searched other books with similar titles in the past and none of them have come close to this one.....gives the history of each park, along with contacts, how to get there, fees and regulations, food and lodging, and a "what to see and do" ......

there are also smaller maps and a "see also" section of other attractions nearby....

I wish this book had more art. I like a guidebook to have pictures. Otherwise, chock full of facts & figures about visiting our park system.
