Shadow and Serenity’s story is so good it’s action packed full twists and turns and all the MC drama I love in these types of books! It’s emotional dangerous sexy and full of adventure and suspense definitely a must read ! Loved it!.

Absolutely loving this series!! Serenity & Shadow are so good together. The only thing I don’t like is… Cliffhangers! I want everything now lol. I don’t want to wait. These two have been through so much, they deserve their own happiness. Serenity has had a thing for Shadow from the first meeting him. When he walks away so easily it breaks her heart. When she gets in trouble, he’s the first one to jump in feet first, but how will things turn out?

Intense Turnaround
Just when you think things will work out for Shadow and Seri things take one crazy turn after another. This book captured me from the very beginning and made it into a huge page turner for me. And then there is Preacher and everything happening around him that left me with my jaw dropping at the end of the book. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

First thing to note that this book is a part of a series and I feel like you do have to read the series to understand the characters and events that unfold in the book ( especially Octavia's backstory). I've read a few but not the whole series so some of the things going on were confusing this book seemed like a continuation of the previous book which I have not read. The heroine, Serenity, has been in love/lust with Shadow for years she's been on the periphery of club life as she's friends with some of the old ladies and her sister is married to one of the members. They have a ONS and basically he leaves her thinking that he's scratched an itch, we are led to believe this for a good 20% of the book until we get his POV. I have to say the way the ONS and it's aftermath was written was super odd it's very disjointed and there is no real segue and then there is a time lapse to five years. Another thing that bothered me was the switching between the club names and their real names names and how close (Seri) Serenity and her niece (Sera?) names were it was confusing at times to differentiate. Also I literally don't know anyone that leaves their front doors open anymore especially in NY. Rookie move. Things happen and she needs protection, another thing to note is why they (the bad guys) leave her there this is made even more baffling when you find out why they are there in the first place. Of course instead of calling 911 like a rational person and trying to go to the hospital for her serious injuries she calls her sister....ummmmmm yah. Of course Shadow realizes what is going and rides in like the dented knight in shining armor. SERIOUSLY it's been five years and NOW you realize that you want her! His grovel was almost non existent he just barges in and takes over which worked until they have one small disagreement and he messes up again. He has serious anger management issues and he's got some serious trauma in his past which he never opens about so it festers. He puts himself in positions of spiraling by not ignoring his mother and not dealing with his past trauma. The gore in this book is real too so if you have a weak stomach skip those parts. There is of course CW drama that has spilled over from previous books what happens there is so messed up and that's all I can say about it. Also the utter lack of security despite having Shadow around is seriously appalling. He isn't very good at keeping her safe and honestly she has very little self preservation. The incident on campus... she could have easily screamed instead she stayed to have a long conversation with her psycho ex. Girl your first instinct should have been to get away and again after her museum showing I couldn't understand that if "everyone was helping clean up" why she would insist on being the one to take out the trash and why was no one inside with her knowing she was still in danger and he had a "bad feeling". That was just so dumb. Not a bad read but definitely not for the faint of heart. Heed the trigger warnings.

Well this series just keeps getting better, with every book I’ve found a new favourite Fury Viper. Shadow is the sixth book in the series and while you can read it as a stand-alone but you will get a better reading experience if you read the entire series as the characters/ books intertwine. Please be aware of your triggers when reading this book, given the nature of the MC and those they associate with there is a lot of violence and Brooke definitely has a way with words when she’s setting the scene.
Shadow has had a difficult life, his brothers in the MC are everything to him and boy does he have his barriers up where it comes to relationships. He’s all about the good times and moves on….that was until Serenity. He’s all twisted up Shadow definitely wants her but he’s running scared and one night together is all he will allow. Shadow’s behaviour can be frustrating at time… I definitely wanted to give him a shake more than once but it was a joy to see this big, burly menace of a man show his vulnerability and finally acknowledging his love for Serenity and realising what a monumental mistake he made walking away.
I loved everything about Serenity, she goes after what she wants and is not ashamed of that. Serenity is such a strong, multifaceted character. You can just feel her hurt and confusion when Shadow leaves after one incredible night together. But if that’s the way Shadow wants to play it well she dusts herself off and is determined to live her life on her terms. But when trouble comes to Serenity’s door and she’s hurt all I can say is heaven help those that are after her with Shadow finally having the guts to claim Serenity as his.
There are time jumps in this book but this is what makes this story as you can see the character development and see why Serenity and Shadow act as they do. The way Serenity goes toe to toe with Shadow and the banter between them is a joy. But the scenes between them oh my they are hot and truly divine.
I loved that all the other characters were there popping in and out, oh and Pepper and Bubbles all I can say is wow, Brooke never fails to surprise us with her wicked imagination. The only other thing I will say is oh man that ending…seriously I was screaming, Brooke definitely loves to torture us and I can’t wait for Preacher’s story, it’s going to be a doozy. All in all an emotional and fantastic read it was a rollercoaster of a ride which I loved from start to finish. This is a dark MC Romance. You will need to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. It will contain triggers for some readers. This is the story of Serenity and Shadow.
He is a member of the Fury Vipers MC. His club is his family and he takes their safety and it being the family that picked him he protects them at all costs. He has had a really difficult life and because of some of this he has walls built so high when it comes to relationships that now on is ever going to get over his walls. He is a love them and well I wouldn't want to say leave them kind of guy because they know it's coming. One night and that is all you get with Shadow. That is the way he does things and he is not going to change them for anyone. Serenity has been though it too when it comes to her life. But this has made her really strong. From the moment that she sees Shadow she knows that she wants him. It takes some convincing and when he finally gives in, it turns out to be the best night of both their lives. However, that doesn't stop him from leaving and this really confuses her because she felt such a strong connection to him. However, she is not about to let this get her done. After all she is going to live life on her terms whether anyone likes it or not. Trouble though doesn't stay away for very long and Serenity finds trouble on the other side of her door. Someone better run because no one messes with her as far as Shadow is concerned. I loved these characters. My heart broke with them and the book is so well written that you can feel the emotions bleeding off the pages. I love how we got to see the past of these characters. You really get to know them so well. I loved the banter between these two and how Serenity wasn't afraid to stand up to him and fight if she had to. This is a great book and one that you do not want to miss.

Shadow is the 6th book in Brooke Summers’ Fury Vipers series and the hits keep coming! This series is so good. Reader beware, this IS an MC romance. Bikers (One Percenters especially) = Violence. This series is not for the feint of heart. Read the trigger warnings. Brooke is highly creative and very thorough in her descriptions, mayyybbbeee not eat while reading this one. I couldn’t put it down. Every time I think I have a favorite brother, Brooke introduces me to my new favorite and Shadow is no different. His past shaped him and made him wary of love. We only get bread crumbs at the beginning so it was easy to get mad at the dumbness Shadow was showing us, but as the story progresses and we get to see who he really is, I fell in love with him. I absolutely love how Brooke writes these alpha, violent men, but have hearts of gold and are so sweet to their women. Serenity has been an active character in most of these books, so it’s easy to love her. She has a huge heart and isn’t afraid to voice her opinions. There are time jumps that make this relationship really relatable and show a lot of growth between the characters. The Fury Vipers cannot catch a break. The things these guys go through are heart wrenching, but truly show how much love and support is in this found family. Another bit of a warning… while the couple get a happy for now ending, the series has a whopper of a cliffhanger and I’m a little mad at Brooke that Preacher’s book isn’t next. Shadow is intense- incredibly high moments and devastating low moments. This one is emotional. I love the steam and chemistry between Seri and Shadow, they are so hot together. Watching their walls come down will bring a tear to your eye, and you never know what’s going to happen next. If high steam, high emotions and protective bikers are your thing.. pick up Shadow, this series is fantastic!

They meet in a nightclub and sparks fly (although both have been aware of one another for a while, but never acted on it, until now!) but after spending the night Serenity is all in…. Shadow never looks back! He didn’t even give her his real name 😦

Shadow has a past that he keeps secret and separate from the Vipers. He’s worried his family will taint the MC he rides with. But one thing he wishes he could change is his one night with Serenity. He wanted more, but couldn’t face the fact he would tarnish her with his darkness!
Loved her nickname 🍑 so cute. Serenity is all about having a good time. If she wants it then not much will get in her way. But she’s a loyal friend, always there when her sister/friends need her. She also holds guilt if her family/friends get hurt, she feels like she should/could have done more…..
Danger comes in the form of an ex of Serenity’s. And when her life is threatened, the Vipers (with Shadow leading the charge) will stop at nothing to wipe out the threat!
But will Shadow be able to make Serenity see that she’s the only woman for him?
I love it when the biker realises that the woman he’s met is the one for him (especially when he’s pushed her away repeatedly) it’s all systems go from there on, she’s going to be his 😜
There is a twist at the end of the book that I did not see coming….

I love reading about the Fury Vipers and this book is just as good as the others. I couldn't put it down until I was done and as usual, I didn't want it to end. In this book we get Shadow's story, and we find out his real name that only Serenity can use. Serenity is very familiar with the guys because her sister is married to one of the Fury Vipers. Shadow and Serenity have always flirted and known they wanted to hook up and when it finally happens its everything, we thought it would be. Yet, Shadow hurts Serenity when he makes it known he isn't one to come back to the same girl. Serenity protects her heart and doesn't put herself around Shadow anymore. One night, one phone call will change everything between Shadow and Serenity. When Serenity needs protecting Shadow makes it known that she is his to protect, but will Serenity be okay with that? I loved how protective the other women, and the other MC members were of Serenity and let Shadow know that they would choose her over him! Will Shadow be able to keep Serenity safe, and keep her by his side and make her his old lady?
The other thing I love about these books is being able to catch up with characters from previous books. There is always a continuing story in the background of these books. In this case we find out how it goes with Preacher becoming a father. It also wouldn't be a Brooke Summers book if she didn't come up with a way to shock us with someone being unalived. This book didn't disappoint with Bubbles and Pepper finally getting what they deserve in a unique way. Remember to always check trigger warnings!!.

“Shadow” is book 6 in the ‘Fury Vipers MC’ series by Brooke Summer. I had not read any of the series before this one, so I can assure you that it can be read as a standalone story.
Serenity and Shadow spent one night together years ago, but that’s all he’ll ever spend with a woman – especially her. He’s not worthy of her, and he knows it, even though he’s also sure that Serenity was meant to be with him. Serenity doesn’t agree, but she managed to go on with her life because she couldn’t pine for him forever. It takes a dangerous situation that hurts Serenity for Shadow to finally wake up and decide that he’s not going to deny them both any longer. But a long time has passed, and Serenity isn’t a weak woman to just let a man decide her future. She might reluctantly accept help from Shadow but that doesn’t mean she’s going to automatically accept him back into her life.
A series of unexpected events keep the tension going every time it seems like Serenity and Shadow might have a chance of making everything work out. Through it all, more about both main characters is continually revealed. In addition to them, there is an interesting cast of secondary characters who provide support and context for the main characters and their story. In addition to enjoying the happy conclusion, I’m now going to go back and learn more about many of those secondary characters by reading some of the other books in this series.

He’s not worthy of her, and he knows it, even though he’s also sure that Serenity was meant to be with him. Serenity doesn’t agree, but she managed to go on with her life because she couldn’t pine for him forever. It takes a dangerous situation that hurts Serenity for Shadow to finally wake up and decide that he’s not going to deny them both any longer. But a long time has passed, and Serenity isn’t a weak woman to just let a man decide her future. She might reluctantly accept help from Shadow but that doesn’t mean she’s going to automatically accept him back into her life.
A series of unexpected events keep the tension going every time it seems like Serenity and Shadow might have a chance of making everything work out. Through it all, more about both main characters is continually revealed. In addition to them, there is an interesting cast of secondary characters who provide support and context for the main characters and their story. In addition to enjoying the happy conclusion, I’m now going to go back and learn more about many of those secondary characters by reading some of the other books in this series.

This is definitely my favorite of the series so far! I have loved this dark yet heartfelt series that Brooke Summers has created, and Shadow and Serenity's story was truly amazing. Both Shadow and Serenity felt an immense attraction to each other when they first met, but Shadow's past prevents him from letting anyone too close. However when Serenity's life is threatened, Shadow finally admits to himself how much he truly cares for her and what lengths he would go to in order to keep her safe.
I absolutely LOVED Serenity and Shadow together! Serenity didn't take any of Shadow's crap and wasn't afraid to voice her boundaries, and I loved her for it. Once Shadow got over his reservations about his past, he wasn't afraid of showing Serenity that he was all in with her, and I loved his devotion and passion. Their journey wasn't smooth-sailing, but ultimately they both learned to trust each other. The banter between all of the brothers and old ladies was fantastic and made me laugh out loud, and I cannot wait for more🖤

As this is book 6 in the Fury Vipers series, I think it might be helpful to read the rest of the series first to understand some of the characters’ background and to avoid some spoilers. Now for the review!
Serenity is whip smart and a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She is also determined and driven in her career. She can also be understanding, patient, sweet and kind. But she also won’t let anyone walk all over her.
Shadow has a troubled past but he has undying loyalty to his club brothers and will help wherever needed. He might be a little rough around the edges but he also cares deeply for others and can be ruthless when they are hurt.
These two have a strong connection that we see in the Prologue and this connection does not fade even as time passes despite some conflict. They also make it a point to get to know each other and respect the other. Shadow’s past might interfere with his life sometimes, but you can tell he is devoted to Serenity and gets along well with her family. Serenity also doesn’t push Shadow into corners and she brings light to him.
Along with this sweet and spicy romance, we have some storylines continue from previous books and see new developments. We also get some suspense and surprises along the way.
Overall, another great addition to this series and I cannot wait to see what comes next!.

Des problèmes avec sa mère liés à son passé lui font péter des câbles mais avec Serenity parfois c'est autre chose.
Tous les deux, une seule nuit, une seule nuit je répète. Et chacun est reparti de son côté.
Serenity connait la vie de bikers, elle a décidé de s'en éloigner pour se protéger et elle a continué à vivre sa vie, jusqu'au jour où elle se retrouve à l'hopital et en danger à cause des affaires de son ex.

This series has definitely been an addictive ride and every time a new book comes out, I'm so over the top excited.
In this one, We follow Shadow and Seri as they take us on a ride that's action packed, full of spicy times yet makes us feel for them.
Seri and Shadow have one night together and Seri is hurt when the next day shadow walks off as if what happened didn't mean anything.
They both move on with their lives but when tragedy strikes Seri in the worst way and she's hurt by people unknown, she now needs protection from this unknown danger.
But amidst the chaos happening, Shadow starts feeling what he really missed and left behind but now he's ready to go all in when he feels how close he came to losing the one woman who's always been the most important to him.
I have to say along with Shadow and Seri, it was fun to meet all my favorite Fury Vipers Couples again and see their shenanigans and teasing.
At every turn though, this book would pop in a twist that had me like 😳 and it was like two tracks running along.
My heart feels for preacher. Poor guy even after going through all that ordeal and then that ending😳😳.. AHH.. I really hope he gets his happy too soon.
Also, I'm so amped up for Wrath and Hailey's book next. YAY. Can't wait for another sizzling ride.

OMFG! That ending!! Shadow and Seri’s story was perfect, I loved it. I really loved Seri, she knew what she wanted at the beginning and that was Shadow. But after they had an incredible night together, he gets up the next morning and just walks away, breaking her heart. She thought they had a connection and she never expected to fall so hard for him. Fast forward 5 years and even though she’s tried dating, she’s still in love with Shadow. And he definitely hasn’t forgotten her, but he clings to events that happened 15 years ago and lets it mess with his head. But when Seri is seriously hurt it’s enough to push him to finally do what he should’ve done before, make her his woman! I loved these two, they were like fire. The scenes were spicy and I loved how Shadow was her.
I was especially happy to finally see an end to the Pepper and Bubbles drama- though I had to laugh and was speechless at how Preacher found Bubbles! I was also laughing at how Ace and Eda’s twins were Cruz, and their crazy boob fascination!
But holy cow that ending! Man my heart hurts for Preacher. Just when I thought the Pepper drama was over, nope! And I’m crossing my fingers it doesn’t involve Shadow.
I can’t wait for the next book, it can’t come soon enough.

I absolutely LOVE Brooke Summers' writing style, and I always drool over her bikers so I LOVE this story/series. Serenity has wanted Shadow since she first saw him, and now she's determined to get him. They end up spending a super hot night together, but then he walks away like it didn't even matter which hurt my girl quite a bit, and it certainly made me all kinds of pissy. Shadow has some demons from his past, so he's trying to be the good guy by making the decision that he's no good for her (can you feel my eyes rolling?), and I'm telling you, that's so frustrating to me. Things take a crazy turn when Serenity gets caught up in trouble, and that's all it took for him to finally accept that she was his, but will she get on board with that after being hurt by him?! I LOVED these two together (despite his questionable decision making) & the heat they generated could light the world up. However, this is a biker world, so things are dangerous & violent but the twists are coming in hot to keep me on the edge of my seat as well because there are always enemies determined to take them out. It leads to a brutal cliffhanger that left me with my mouth hanging open, and I'm dying inside for more so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Shadow and Serenity have a night years ago, at the end Shadow leaves thinking that Serenity was on the same page, that this was just a one and done and nothing changes between them. Well years later, Serenity doesn't want anything to do with Shadow as it took her all these years to finally move on from the bit of heartbreak. Only issue, the guy that she finally moved on with is the reason she ends up getting the crap beat out of her. The moment Shadow learns what happened to Serenity, he makes it clear that he is finally claiming her as his, only problem is that Serenity doesn't agree with his claim. Can Shadow convince her that he is all in and will never let her down again?
A fast-paced story, I will say that you need to read the previous stories as they just sort of flow from one story to the next. There are mentions of previous happenings and if you haven't read them, then you are more than likely going to be lost. There is a lot going on in this story, drama, danger, violence, super hot spicy bits, some cute moments; there is just about everything going on that you can think of. This was a good addition to the series and I give this 4 stars.

Shadow was an exciting and intriguing book. I love this series, it’s action packed, with a twist of mystery and spice. I was on the edge of my seat thru this whole book. This book is a dark MC romance and is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. I have binge read this whole series it was captivating and had me hooked. I love Brooke Summers writing style. It is gritty, heartbreaking and original. She had me biting my nails with anticipation of what would happen next, fist pumping for the characters and tearing up with the hurt and love each character experienced.
Serenity finally got her story!!! She is strong, a free spirit and very protective of her family. I loved her determination and loyalty to her friends and family. Shadow was a total Alpha in this book. I loved his instant possessiveness and sheer will to get what he wants when it comes to Serenity. I enjoyed his grovel and her strong will. They were definitely two magnets being drawn together. It was exciting to read their fall.

This is the sixth book in this series. They are better read in order. Shadow and Serenity had one night together. Serenity was sure that this would lead to more but it didn’t. Now five years later things are about to change. Serenity is attacked by people who want money from her ex. This in the thing that changes things from Shadow. It wasn’t that he didn’t want everything with Serenity but that he felt she deserved someone better than him. He isn’t going to waste this second chance. He is finally ready to believe what everyone has been telling him and move forward. Serenity isn’t sure if she should take a chance with Shadow at first. But actions are more powerful than words. He has been showing her that is serious about her. They will work together. Shadow still needs to completely close the door on his past. Serenity is more than happy to help him do that. Will the Fury Vipers be able to figure out who is after Serenity and protect her. I am loving this series more and more with each book. I can’t get enough of the characters in this series. The woman is this series are so powerful and strong. These men will do anything to protect them but they don’t stunt them either. The work side by side. I can’t recommend this series enough. Wonderful job Brooke.

This is the story of Serenity and Shadow, these two characters have a past together and Shadow wants a future but can they put their past behind them to get their happy ever after? The relationship between these two characters is intense and erotic at times. The secondary characters just add to this story perfectly. This story can be read as a stand-alone read even though it is part of the series. This story is filled with violence, trauma, murder, and assault, which make it the perfect dark and gritty romance read you need.

There are so many things I could say about this book and this series...
It's been a long time since I've read an MC romance series where every volume is perfect and I'm never disappointed.
I received Shadow via Booksprout, and before reading it I wanted to read the previous volumes and OMG! I was not disappointed at all.
Shadow and Serenity's story began in the previous volumes, but we didn't really know what was going on. We find them five years later, when all is quiet for the mc. But nothing ever stays quiet for long for the Fury Vipers and their women.
This book is full of emotion, action and angst, and it's impossible to stop turning the pages.

There was a mutual attraction between Shadow and Serenity when one night lust ignited between them. Then nothing for 5 years. Shadow can't forget her, but his old issues won't let him get close to her. This is heartbreaking for Seri, but she moves on. A brutal attack on Serenity wakes Shadow up to the realization that he should never have let her go.
This is very much a biker book in that there is a lot of graphic violence. But I like the book for the loyalty, family love, and devotion shown by the characters. Serenity is a strong, intelligent, determined woman and Shadow appreciates and supports her work, being protective when her health and well being are involved.
This was the first book I have read by this author, but I now want to read more.
