entertaining

This was a lot of books in the collection, so it took me some time to read them all.
Which I did and really enjoyed reading them.

again more stars. Asling is a strange stubborn half human witch and half fae. story is how make all kinds of friends in mixed of murders.

Asling is an orphan that is raised human but just doesn’t fit in the mold. She is hired as a reporter for a small town paper. The paper is different for humans and as she investigates she finds also others. The stories are explained in two different ways the truth and the the cover up of magic. She meets vampires, witches, Fae, yeti, and many more variety of species.. the stories are funny, lively and warm or horrifying or a little of both. The town is a hive of paranormal and human. Asling meets her love and they have contentious relationship, she meets her grandfather, saves her mother and father, and make the strangest but best friends. Loved the stories.

I didn't want this box set to end.

What's not to love? Humour, mystery, romance, magic, talking cats, everything you could want in a fantasy novel.
A heroine who is clever, tough and has attitude as she learns who and what she is. As hero who is mysterious, handsome and has a soft , romantic side.
Friends who are loyal, funny and engaging.
Storylines that are strong, surprising in places, sometimes funny, sometimes sad but exciting and gripping.
I fell in love with Fiddlers Edge.

I can’t believe it’s over

I loved this whole series, it as one thing after another, but I wouldn’t change it.
The characters made the whole story. It did turn out differently then I expected but I loved the ending.
People you need to read this whole series, it was a page turner and you could actually get caught up in the twists and turns they take.
This series says the Author is a great story teller, she didn’t stray off the path like some authors do. I’m going to look for more of her books to read now.

I want to visit Riddler's Edge

There are 3 fictional worlds that I would love to visit and meet the characters that live there....1. Discworld by Sir Terry Pratchett 2. Riddler's Edge/Cove by A.A. Albright 3. Beige Mer by Erin Johnson. The reasons are they clean, imaginative, funny, intelligent, interesting, and intriguing. I learn and develop a new and different perspective about people.

I loved the first person writing style, involving the reader.

The author kept the reader on the edge of the chair many times. But at times, it could seem like a long dialogue in which the reader was in doubt if this was the chatty main character or the author filling pages. But it didn't stop me from turning the page. I recommend the series to anyone who loves magic and mystery. A great read. I'd love to see a follow-up.

Very entertaining

I am a true reader to be entertained. This series did just that. It flowed nicely. There were many different ways the story could have gone, but the fun is to see if you can figure out which direction the author is going to go. If you figure it out then your as smart as the writer, if not then you enjoyed the ride. If you want to be entertained then by all means try this series. You may enjoy yourself.

Captivating from the beginning. A wonderfully written series with amazing characters , lots of emotions and great adventures throughout kept me reading and glued to my Kindle. This story telling is the very best as it let you forget everything else. Just wonderful.

so much magic and mystery

A wonderful collection that flows seamlessly from beginning to end. The author has crafted a world full of human and supernatural characters that draws you in and keeps you reading. Each mystery is different but adds to the storyline and character development. Have fun and enjoy the read.

Purr-fect

MAGIC AND MYSTERY IN RIDDLER'S EDGE was a really fun read. A. S. Albright managed to span the emotional rainbow as well as build up some good mysteries. I'm hoping that the next ten tales are available.

Made it to about the halfway point (5 of 10 books)... just couldn't deal anymore...
It took me awhile to get into the story, especially since I found the writing/ storytelling style quite annoying right of the bat. It was more like reading a blog. ugh.
I stuck with it cause as a long time resident of Dublin/Ireland I wanted to see some local color.
Sadly all we got was the odd reference to well known tourist spots,..
The plot itself might've been quite interesting, sadly it got lost amid all the personal drama, which frankly was all very junior high rather than her supposed age of 29/30.
the same can be said for the later books, where the actual plot/story more often than not seemed little more than an afterthought. with no character development/growth, etc. whatsoever...

As for the love interest.
In Book 1 I was rooting for them,
book 2 had me fairly confused as to their sudden leap from having just met to suddenly being all gaga for another (seriously, when did that happen?!?).
Book 3 I started to get pretty annoyed with them and by
book 4 I just didn't care anymore one way or another...
Book 5 just clinched it
also, i hate love triangles

Really enjoyed this series

Started this series as a box set and was happy I picked it up. It starts the way most do- surprise you didn’t know you had magic and all that entails. But the way the story unfolds was quite unexpected and not at all typical of most cosy magic mysteries. Each book contains its own story but the series has its continuing characters and their stories. Not at all with the “predictable baddie” either. Some of them are just so despicable it makes you want to scream! The author has a strong and descriptive writing style and I did not encounter any frustrating typos or errors that can sometimes be typical in these types of books. I would recommend this set and will probably read it again in the future.

This was the first set of A. A. Albright's books that I read, individually. The descriptions of the magic are exciting and completely unique, so vivid! I loved all the characters and their stories, entertaining and witty with a lovely romantic side. The paranormal elements are written so well this was nothing like I've ever read before, and it's lovely that it links to her other series with characters popping in and out.
I could not wait to read the next book each time so when this box set came out it's a perfect way to binge-read them all together. It's made a perfect gift for my sister and a friend, too.

Amazing!

I love this series!  A lot of Mrs. Albright's books are based in the same magical world which makes it easy to transition from one series to the others.  Also, there's always a character or two from a different series that pop up and it's super fun to see them again...  This one tells the life of Aisling Smith, new found witch in a small Irish village where she works in a newspaper and solves murders with the help of amazing friends.  I highly recommend it!

Riddler's Edge

Just finished the Cozy Riddler's Edge cozy Mystery Collection ( 10 ). What a treat. If you like a good paranormal mystery than you should definitely read this whole collection. Intense, mysterious, funny and so much more. I like all the characters except the bad ones. Every book, from start to finish flows effortless together. One book more intense than the other.
Thank you A.A. Albright for such a treat.

This concluded series of books is an entertaining read. Not deep, not complex, not always logical, but the kind of books you enjoy while sitting in a good chair, enjoying some tea and some snacks while relaxing. A light and cozy read, easy to read through and with not all that much to keep track of. It is an engaging read though, with humour, excitement, romance and mysteries. All wrapped up in a supernatural coating.

overall a treat to read

A good story, characters you want to be friends with & interesting world. I like that all the characters had a storyline & grew. There were a few ‘hum” moments which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. But if you like quirky funny mysteries this is for you. I read all 10 books & side story.

Amazing series!

I LOVED THIS SERIES! It broke my heart when it ended. The characters were all so wonderful, even crabby Hilda! The way Ash’s magic progressed throughout the series was beautifully crafted. It was fun watching all the characters grow and evolve just by knowing Ash. She changed the whole community into a better place to live.

Magic and Mystery in Riddler's Edge

Truly a great set of books. I really enjoyed all of them. The stories flowed one into another and carried the stories to a lovely end. Each book a continuation of the last but completely different. Be prepared to not be able to set the books aside until you have read them all.

So sorry to reach the end of the stories! The authors imagination is fantastic. The characters are complex and believable. Witches, vampires, wizards, fairies and humans all mixed together in tales of murder, intrigue and love that are so enjoyable.

I enjoyed reading this series straight through!

It only took a few days and was light hearted enough to keep me reading in the high 90's and summer storms this weekend.
Not too much graphic detail and some good words on loving, gi ving, striving & forgiveness!

did Not finish

The writing was a little clunky at the beginning, but the characters and magic rules were interesting, so I prevailed for a while. But it got so boring - junior high school relationships and the inability of the characters to mature did me in.
