EN I must admit I've never been much of a fan of Deadpool in comic book form. I enjoy the films with Ryan Reynolds — I think he always delivers clever, well-balanced humour — but in the comics, Deadpool's humour often feels forced and a bit crude to me.

Maybe I’ve just never caught a good run or a strong writer, but this felt like more of the same: silly, over-the-top jokes that simply don’t make me laugh. That also affects how I appreciate the artwork, as the stories themselves come across as too nonsensical for my taste.

That said, it’s a light and easy read, perfect for a day when you want something more digestible. True Deadpool fans will likely enjoy it far more than I did.

The book has all the right ingredients to make Deadpool. I don't know if it is me reading to much into it or if it wan intentional but I really like the format of the crazier/weirder stories at the begining to the more serious (still crazy) stories as the book progress. I also like the A4 size of the book.

The book has a lit of guest stars as well, which, to me, is a good thing with Deadpool it balances out his craziness in a good way. Though this series is four issues, each issue contains three to four mini stories. Though it is black, white, and red, the artwork is still awesome. Deadpool breaking the fourth wall and nurating or just talking to himself is also great. It is what I expect as a Deadpool fan.

Another good Deadpool book to add to the collection, lots of insanity and action. Deadpool is doing what he does best. My personal favourite is the "team up" with another assassin for hire breaking. Also, Deadpool breaking the fourth wall to plug his own product is just a Deadpool thing to do. All in all, it is a good collection of stories.

The gimmick here is that the entire collection is white, black, and red. That part really doesn't add or subtract from the overall quality for me.

The collection of stories is mostly awesome. There are a couple stinkers in there but overall I really enjoyed what I read. Obviously there's an acquired taste for Deadpool and the unending goofiness, but when done right I think it's fully entertaining.

These three-colour anthologies can be a tricky format with a character like Wolverine, where the equivalent book had lots of vignettes asking 'But who is the real monster? Aaaaah.' For Wade, though? Where you can open with an important educational message ("Remember, kids. If you can see intestines on the outside of a person, the content is not for you.") before unleashing a punchline you hadn't even realised was being set up? Or James Stokoe can do Omega Red versus a bear in a tank over a deliberately stupid difference of opinion? This is perfect. Yeah, there's the odd mis-step: why bother renaming what's obviously meant to be North Korea when it's not like you need to worry about pissing off the North Korean market? The Laphams, as usual, write something horrible in a not-fun way, and Daniel Warren Johnson does his best with cyborg ninjas and swing dancing, but has ultimately turned in yet another story about getting in a self-defeating funk. Still, for the most part it's enormously enjoyable, roping in creators from Stan Sakai to the Allreds and encouraging them to play the giddy goat.

(3,8 of 5 for this simple but nice fun with various creators and various styles)
I don't like Marvel/DC superhero series but I always try to read something, from time to time, which is a close thing or one-shots about my favourite characters. So this was an obvious choice, and it has a lot of my favourite creators (DWJ, Geoff and Stan, for start) and it is quite fun. I love Deadpool also because it's the character, who is expected to break the fourth wall, unlike other characters. And it brings me simple but nice fun, which the comic was basically about.
Jaksemash. Good old time, yes, very nice.

most of the short stories in here were pretty mid, there were a couple good ones tho. this collection kinda emphasized how it’s hard to write deadpool cause most of the writing in here was pretty meh, when you have every author trying to write in the same overly-ironic and self criticizing style with a character that’s already kinda overplayed, you’re gonna end up with some problems. The humor was bad, and half the jokes were just, ‘wow, something violent happened’. At least the art was good. Deadpool has been done so much better than this many times, so I really just wouldn’t recommend this.

Just about all of the 'black white and red/read all over' jokes you can think of are in here. I also loved Marvel-verse Kool-aid man. That was funny.

A perfectly fine Deadpool read. I liked that it was several different stories by various authors and artists, all with the overarching theme of "Black, White, and Blood." That meant that some stories were right up my alley, which balanced out the ones that were gorier and more gruesome. (That's the side of Deadpool lore I don't particularly enjoy.) Still, I got chuckles out of this book, and I enjoyed some of the team-ups (especially Gambit). In the one with the "not Kool-Aid" mascot, I couldn't help but wonder if the writer had seen MatPat's Theory on the Kool-Aid man being the next major Marvel villain. If not... stunning coincidence. Either way, I got a chuckle out of that story especially. Worth a read, as it's really quick, but if you're like me and you like "lite Deadpool," then know that not every story will be your thing.

Each issue contains 3 stories, all by different writers/artists. Some of them are ok, most of them are bad and filled with low-quality attempts at humour. The ones that stood out for me as the better stories are the Frank Tieri, and the David Lapham one. The art is the major redeemable quality of this book, and most of it is either good or great.

Maybe 3 or 4 worthy stories out of 12. Most of these are exactly the same even down to Deadpool getting his arm ripped off and making the same jokes again and again. The art is pretty good throughout and keeps it from being completely unreadable. Kudos to Daniel Warren Johnson for at least trying something completely different than everyone else.

Over the years, several superheroes have explored their noir sides with black & white miniseries in the style of Frank Miller's Sin City. Not wanting to be outdone, Deadpool adds a bright shade of scarlet (and a few shades of gray) to this minimally colored 4-issue mini-series from 2021.

As each issue consists of 3 short stories, there are exactly a dozen segments to Deadpool: Black, White & Blood. Several are very bloody. A few feature the Merc with a Mouth teaming up with other characters in the Marvel Universe. All are extremely insane.

Roughly a team of a dozen talents from comics, Hollywood and Manga offer unique takes on Wade Wilson. All 12 stories were rather good. But some stood out among the rest as being of superior quality. Deadpool's cross-town team-up with Wolverine clone, X-23, was a laugh riot and yet unusual. I didn't know the pair were actually that good of friends as they appear to be in the opening story. In another story that utilizes a disgusting eggplant hue, Deadpool has fallen under the thrall of the Daredevil villain, the Purple Man. Fans who hate what the David Tenant portrayed Purple Man did to Netflix's Jessica Jones, will delight in how even under mind-control, Deadpool still manages to keep the villain on his toes!

The story in which Deadpool visits Omega Red's gentrified Soviet Era town in middle of the the Canadian Rockies, was the zaniest one of them all. Fellow Russian super-villain Ursa Major wants to become the ruler of the makeshift community, igniting an arms race with Omega Red. For once, it's up to Wade Wilson to play referee in between two aging Cold Warriors.

The story I was most disappointed with guest stars the X-Man, Doop. It was by Mike Allred, who is in my top 5 list of all-time favorite artists. The artwork was impressive as always. But story-wise, things were trippy at best. I read it twice and I still don't think I understand everything that was happening.

This was a near-perfect anthology of Deadpool stories. The only thing missing was a time travelling epic by one of the definitive Deadpool writers of the past 20 years- Gerry Duggan. Oh! And something by Deadpool creator, Rob Liefeld. As much as I am not a fan of the guy's work, a variant cover by Liefeld would have been nice at least.

This book comes in 2 formats- your basic trade paperback and a tabloid sized treasury edition. Honestly, I don't see a need for this book to be in the larger size even though that's the format I read it in. Save yourself the $8 and go small!

Deadpool and Honey Badger stop an organization that is doing animal testing which ends up creating zombie creatures. Deadpool tracks down a physical copy of Stairway to Heaven, killing left and right. He visits Omega Red's own country inside Canada, right when another coup begins. So it's a collection of one-shots, but the upside is that they are all hilariously funny, with barely any cringe present.

Several high-profile characters make at least a cameo appearance, like Wolverine, Daredevil, Bullseye and Gambit. The thing to remember is that none of these stories add anything new to the character's history. This, along with the many writers and artists that have contributed to it, likely result in the series' low popularity. Also, it's called Red, White and Blood because that's the color pallete. Of course, the creators used red paint, not actual blood. I assume. I read these in digital format.

This is yet another black and white anthology book released around the same time that DC released their own anthologies of their primary characters.

Marvel tried Captain America, Carnage, Wolverine, and Deadpool as character focused anthologies. The collection of issues here, is one of the few that worked. As with most anthologies, the stories hit and miss.

Bonus: zombie zebras and Honeybadger cameo!

So much fun to read - especially loved Wade teaming up with Gabby, their friendship makes me so happy to read!
Again, the artwork is stunning to look at, sometimes hard to understand what's going on in fight scenes, but otherwise beautiful to see!
TW for violence, mind control, experimentation on a child, blood, swearing, animal death/animal abuse.

Had never heard of this until encountering it in a store and I was blown away by the size of the book! It’s an anthology and probably entirely forgettable, but there’s some laughs to be had and the artwork is really incredible. A beautiful art book in its own strange way.

I loved the comics from different authors, they are so cute! Sometimes it was hard to follow, especially if you don't know it's a bunch of mini comics jammed in one. Loved the references to other series, even as a beginner Marvel fan I understood them.
