The first installment of short stories that rethink Shakespeare's plays in humourous ways.
Did Shakespeare burst upon the world a fully formed wordsmith or did he serve an apprenticeship? Did every play come from his pen as a work of genius or did he have to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous critique and bow to pressure from his peers? We think he listened to criticism ñ albeit reluctantly ñ and accepted his friendsí observations. In this One Volume of "Fractured Classics" we suggest two examples of Shakespeareís imagination being reined in by the more down-to-earth proposals of his fellows.
