While the May rains fell on Seattle, Dr. Liv Brayden's life was falling apart as well. Being a Bio-cultural Anthropologist wasn't all it may have appeared to be, when she was a mere student in college. Now, as a lab assistant to a famous Anthropologist at UW, and the fiance of a world famous Volcano Explorer, Liv begins to find herself unraveling, as each of her dreams of happiness slip away one by one. First, the love of her life bails on her, claiming his career is more important than being bogged down by a marriage. Never mind that they'd been together for six years and popping the question was his idea. He called in his last favor, and she canceled the event. Later that same day, she arrives for work to find that her mentor, Professor Ellis Cray has been missing in the field for nearly thirty days and she's being asked to go to Trapline, Alaska to complete his work. What's a scorned woman to do? Once she arrives in Trapline, she's trucked into one of the last Tlingit villages in the world, and forced to accept the paranormal happenings of a mythology she believed to be nothing more than creative imagination. And, to top it all off, she's being forced to share a cabin with a dentist, who dons a cloak and role plays with the local teens for kicks. Can she find her Professor, salvage her career and learn to love all over again, in the face of a mysterious hoax? Or, will the spirits of the Tlingit~Yaki have their way?
I've turned 50 and returned to my beloved Alaska. I plan to live out my wildly romantic and adventurous writing dreams, with my hubby at my side. I read a lot. I write Paranormal Romances, but I'm interested in writing a YA fantasy series and a women's fiction novel or two in the future. Please join me on my quest for a spot on the NY Times Best Seller's list. Cheers~
