Claudia Sinclair enjoys her quiet country life with her aunt and uncle; content with her plans of an equally quiet marriage - until she meets Marcus Letrell.
From their very first meeting, Claudia is swept away from the ordinary and thrust into a world she never knew existed. Soon she is running for her very life from vampires bent on killing her and closing in on a fate she can not escape. Claudia isn’t a murderer, but she realizes all to quickly that love has a way of changing the way you see people.
Forbidden love, and secrets that run deep; Always forces Claudia to see just how far she would go to save the man she loves.
I wear many hats. Author, mother, cook, housekeeper, laundry do-er, sister, daughter. I enjoy writing, it allows me to escape the realities of life: bills, day job, baths, supper, dieting, cleaning the litter box. My writing is usually romantic in nature with a bit of humor and a bit of surprise. My books range from Vampires who fall in and out of love so many times I had to make it a series to christian stories of finding out what is important in life. I have always loved writing. During my high school days I wrote one book. It was a vampire love story. It took me so long to write it that I began to think of the characters as real people. I still do that today. On a personal note: I have three wonderful children - Gavin, Arabelle, and Elijah, two not so wonderful cats, and two rats. We all live in a small town in northern Ohio. There is more corn here than vampires or werewolves, at least that I know of.
Disclaimer: I received a free e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The second in the Immortal Love series, this portion continues after the first and is told from Claudia's perspective, in the form of a story to Eva about how Claudia and Marcus Letrell met and ended up together. Starting in the late 1800s, there's plenty of information to grab you, from the idea of house servants to help you dress to a wealthy suitor asking for your hand to improve your station in life. Plus, there's vampires and all the crazy things that happen with them. =)
As I've said before, Amy is one of my favorite authors, and this series is just plain awesome. We get to learn about the Letrell brothers from their companion's perspective, and that's something that really pulls me in. In this book, we read about Claudia's life before Marcus entered it, and how she came to find out about him and his family. Over the course of her story, she tells how she became a vampire and what happened to her in the decades that followed. It's a rather moving story, one that had my emotions on a roller coaster from start to finish.
I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who enjoys vampires, paranormal romance, strong female characters, or who just wants to read a good book. =)
I cannot believe the amount of crap that Claudia took from Marcus. I would honestly say he emotionally and mentally abused her. I DNF at 70% . The only reason I read that far was because I thought Claudia might grow a backbone and get with someone else. As of yet, that's not the case. She seems like an absolutely pathetic creature and I can't believe an author would make any of their characters out to be this way.
I was given the paperback of this book from the author for an honest review. This book is simply amazing. It will keep you captivated until the very end. it will keep you wanting more. This is a must read for everyone. Grab your copy today.
