Our family listened to the first book in this collection (2 hours) on a car ride. I remember loving these books as a kid. As an adult, you have a lot of questions like, “why did those adults just let the kids continue living in a boxcar once they found out they were fending for themselves?” 🤔😆 But overall, I think the story is fun for kids. The narrator’s voice sounded whiny when voicing some of the kids and strange for some of the adults, but the voice was good for the rest of the text.
