I am familiar with Turners Syndrome because my granddaughter has it. I hope for her to read this book someday. We have always looked at Turner Syndrome as life altering not life threatening. As stated in the book, if you want to do something bad enough you figure out a way to do it. Don't just give the excuse you have Turner Syndrome and not try. I am in awe as to all the incredible things girls with Turner Syndrome have accomplished. Most importantly I am happy my granddaughter is alive. Having Turners hasn't stopped her one bit and she is only 2.
This short piece, which is essay-length, is written by someone who has Turner syndrome. The author describes the genetic condition, her successes, and her life comparing herself to her sisters, who don’t have the syndrome. This is an interesting read. I heard about Turner syndrome and even met women who had it, but this has given me a better understanding of living with the condition.
