Due to the holidays it took me a while to start this book and then yesterday afternoon I began to read it and didn't stop until four this morning. I loved the first book Hold on Tight and i have to say this book was even better. It made me laugh, fall in love, but most of all cry. I won't lie there was many times I wanted to slap Emma, but at the same times there were many times I wanted to be Emma. I'm still in love with both Court and Nash and still don't know which one I would pick. However, I do agree with who Emma stays with. I love that we don't know until the last page. I also loved how this book went in deeper with Emma and her mom's relationship. This is a book I will be reading again.
Court or Nash, Nash or Court.. I must say that with the first book I was on Court's side, but while reading this novel I began to lean more towards Nash. Yeah, I am a Nash girl now. I freaking swear, choosing between two boys is like pulling your arm out of socket.
I can honestly say I didn't know who Emma was going to pick until the end. Although I did like Court, I was glad that she picked Nash. It just made the two novels much more worth while. By the end of this series I felt a sense of completeness. Everything falls into place.

A couple of months ago we fell in love with the book Hold on Tight. It is exactly the kind of book that got us back into reading. We also fell in love with the two love interest in the book: Court and Nash. It even started many battles between us since we were evenly split between team Court and team Nash. Letting Go did not disappoint. We loved this book. It pulled a lot of emotional strings in our heart. We loved how it showed how sometimes teenagers can be so self involved they don’t realize what is happening in their parent’s life. The relationship Emma has with her mother towards the end made us pass the tissue box around. We also love the relationship Emma has with her best friend Britney. It’s very authentic and reminded us of the relationship we have with each other. Of course Court and Nash continue to thrill us and make our hearts go wild. Even though the first book made us all argue over who Emma should pick, the second book made us all agree she chose the right guy. The ending in this book was perfect and brought us tears to our eyes. This is a book you must add to your must read list, but make sure you read Hold on Tight first. We look forward to reading more books by Maria.
Such a great ending to Maria's first book, Hold On Tight. The story continues with Emma having plans to go away with Court for a weekend, even though she still feels something for Nash. They start their trip together out as friends, but Court is just so dang hot and nice to her that she becomes confused. I found myself being pulled back and forth with Emma, wanting her to be with both of the guys at different times. If you like a good high school romance triangle, you need to check this series out!
I loved this book just as much as the first one Hold on Tight. I think Emma picked the right guy. I also loved the relationship between Emma and her mother. It made cry when the twist happens. I even called my mother to tell her I love her. Once again Court and Nash won my heart. Both guys would have been a perfect choice, but I think who Emma ends up is the better fit for her. I'll take the other guy. It was a perfect ending to a great series.
First off, I'd like to thank Maria for the copy of her book.
I have to say that I enjoyed "Hold Me Tight" a bit more than "Letting Go." In "Hold Me Tight" I thought Maria wrote in a juvenile way to allow the reader to really believe they were hearing Emma's voice. However, by adding narratives by Nash in the second book, that seemed to be ruined. It was like reading about two teenage girls who liked each other. They were overly dramatic and very childish sounding.
There were also even more editing errors in the second book. I try to ignore these when I'm reviewing a book, but some of them were just painful.
That being said, I did enjoy the plot. Maria can develop a story, and I can see where a younger audience may enjoy the book. It is interesting that both Court and Nash come off as appealing - it's easy to fall for both characters. I think the book should be marketed for younger audiences. Although sex is mentioned, it isn't graphic, and I think a middle school aged girl would probably enjoy the quick, easy read.
I'm officially a fan of Maria E. Monteiro. I loved Hold on Tight and now I love the sequel. All my favorite characters were back plus some new ones. I really liked Mila ( Nash's older sister). I really am in love with this series. I'm so sad there's only two books in it. It did end perfectly, I just miss all the characters. I think Emma picked the right guy although my heart is still torn. I want both Court and Nash. I also loved that this book dealt with Emma's relationship with her mother. Yes I had to pull out the tissue box. Now I remember why I love YA Romance books.
