Lovely collection of some of Walling’s gardens. Each entry includes one of her watercolour designs, a note of what remains of the original garden as well as photos - some colour and some old Walling black and white where they’ve been accessible. There’s some discussion of the planting - not enough information to recreate the gardens, but enough to get a solid foundation for creating something similar.

This helped me design lots of my gardens. Shame gardens don't come in these sizes anymore. Shame I had to hand my 2 acre garden over to fresher hands to love.
