This book was okay, but I didn't get very much out of it. I felt like almost everything the author was saying were things I already knew. But, I did get two excellent quotes out of it:
"To repent simply means to renounce and turn away from the lies spoken over you and to embrace the truth God speaks over you. Ask the Spirit to reveal what those lies may be and write them down. In time, they will be drowned in death."
"Answering the call means abandoning yourself to God. Calling often means a catastrophic upsetting of the apple cart, a complete change in ambition, a reorientation of direction, a defining exercise of faith, leading one across a threshold into a while new land of possibility."
This is a very nice little book, especially for young adults who are wrestling with their future and what it means to live in the world as a Christian. It is meant to be read slowly, a chapter per day (or maybe even more slowly). The author's intent is not so much that you read, but rather that you think-- about your life.
