LADY GRACE, book II, brings the action forward a few thousand years. The radiation has finally lifted and survivors come together to begin new lives on a planet blasted back to prehistoric times. "FIVE STARS! A MODERN SCI-FI MASTERPIECE Lady Grace was first-rate science fiction and one of the most absorbing page-turners of that genre that I've read in years. Author Sandy Nathan exhibits the imagination of Ray Bradbury combined with the whimsicalness of Douglas Adams. That's high praise, but it's warranted. The story includes so much action; tense, suspenseful drama; and two charming love stories that it's irresistible." J. Chambers, Amazon Top 100 Reviewer

Lady Grace is brand new, out in print and Kindle versions.

SAM & EMILY, the third and final version of Tales from Earth's End, tells the story of Sam Baahuhd, the village headman on the Piermont Estate, and the mysterious stranger he brings to his people at the end of the world. This is an epic love story to be remembered for the ages. Not a perfect love, but a brilliant love.

Out as a print version; Kindle is following very soon.

The Angel & the Brown-eyed Boy tells the story of an angelic extraterrestrial and the boy she comes to love. It's set in a dark future world on the night before nuclear Armageddon. The Angel combines thrills, intrigue, and extraordinary characters. It is in the magical realism genre of my ...novel, NUMENON.

"A good book elicits an emotional response while being read; Nathan's book haunts the reader long after the final page is turned. In Angel & the Brown-Eyed Boy two dying worlds fight for survival, their futures dependent on a revolutionary and an angelic otherworldly dancer. It is world not that many heartbeats away from our own, making the premise chilling."

Lady Grace (Tales from Earth's End II) - Big and Small fight for the Future of Humanity

Rating: 5 of 5
Author: Sandy Nathan
Format: Kindle, Paperback

After centuries on the golden planet and being treated as little more than a procreation pet by the Goldies, Jeremy Edgarton demands to be returned home - to Earth - to usher in the rebirth of humanity and ensure that those who survived the world's end have not fallen victim to The General. But on his return, Jeremy finds something much much worse than he could have imagined. Reunited with his mother Veronica, his love Ellie, and his exiled friends, he fights to liberate the few remaining humans enslaved by the "Bigs". But are they too late, and is the Bigs' power more than they can overcome? Worse yet, will they be betrayed by the Goldies jeopardizing the future of humanity forever?

Sandy Nathan's "Lady Grace" is the second offering in the Tales from The World's End series. It is similar in style to the first book and this chapter has readers visiting Earth centuries after the world's end. Building on book one while adding some startling new characters along with a merger of a few characters from her Numenon series, Nathan creates an unlikely group of protagonists who must band together in a struggle against the Bigs. By far the most intriguing story arc involves what has happened in the underground after generations of inbreeding results in the evolutionary mutation of The Bigs. Armed with an even more powerful version of "The Voice" inherited from their progenitor, the Bigs rule with complete mind control. I will admit that the resolution of the battle with the Bigs was completely unexpected; I'll leave out those details for readers to discover on their own. I'll also admit that the last sentence of the book, which happens to be question, was the most unique I have ever read.

Readers who enjoyed book one, will most certainly enjoy this next book in the series.

This series, Earth’s End, is a quest to make sense of Sandy Nathan’s personal tragedies. Beyond Armageddon, is it possible to carve a way back to normalcy? LADY GRACE AND THE WAR FOR A NEW WORLD takes Jeremy Edgarton on a journey, starting at the surface of the earth and going deep into the underground bomb shelter he built a long ago. Along the path he would form new relations with the survivors of that catastrophic event, and re-discover hope in a place of destruction.

At the beginning, “The place looked gorgeous. The trees were huge. Obviously the danger from radiation had been over for centuries.” He awakens to a promising possibility: “He was home. jubilation grew inside of him.” Together with him we stumble into the entry into the underground shelter, we find the tube for sending the canaries out to test the level of radiation, and we are taken aback by the sight of monstrous mutants that inhabit it.

Along the way we meet Henry, the father he never had, Lena, the mother his real mother couldn't be, and Eliana, an alien from another planet, an exquisite dancer. The one character I found the most fascinating is Veronica Edgarton, his neglectful mom. She finds herself compelled to sever all ties with the person she used to be. “To be who I want to be, I need to separate myself from the person I was.” For her, this is a story of transformation not only on a universal level but also a personal one, as she states, “I’d like to be called Lady Grace.”

Five stars.

Lady Grace could well be categorized as suspense because the author skillfully keeps the reader on edge wondering what will happen next. The novel's fantasy world holds the potential for unexpected, monstrous perils and magical, heroic rescues. Sandy Nathan never fails to surprise with plot twists and character transformations. But Lady Grace offers more than an exciting read. The author shows us the possibility of redemption and illuminates the power of having a spiritual practice without endorsing any particular religion. A must read for fantasy lovers who appreciate the transcendental.

Although Lady Grace is the second book of a series, you don't have to read the first book (The Angel and the Brown-Eyed Boy)to follow what's going on. But if you wonder how the characters in Lady Grace ended up in this strange post-apocalyptic world, you should read The Angel - another great fantasy from Sandy Nathan."

Could I give this one 4.5 stars? I really liked it. But it got to be too long and was often confusing. I liked the idea of using whatever spiritual method (prayer, meditation, yoga, etc.) to block the bad guys' thoughts but it seemed the most rational, let's say atheist(?) got left in the cold when I think their rationale might have gotten them by, also.

This book continues The Angel & the Brown-Eyed Boy which, also, wasn't about angels. No matter, it was sci-fi the way I like it! I do love that Lady Grace is given just that as in the previous book we learned to hate her. The characters were believable though the worlds building left a bit to be desired... maybe that will be taken care of in the sequel. Can't wait for that!

By the way, I like the cover for this one better than the cover for the previous book.

This was a complimentary copy from BookRooster but I don't quite know how to let them know as it isn't on the list. Anyway, I am grateful to be able to read it.

I absolutely fell in love with this book. It wasn't what I expected, it was way better. Intrigue, sci-fi, mystery, romance, aliens, ghosts, monsters, and spiritual. What a dynamite reading experience. I couldn't believe all the twists, turns and who done it. Not so many to get confused but just enough so you won't want to put it down. The only problem I found is that now I have to find the first book in the series and read it. Lady Grace and Sam were the most unlikely couple, but the dynamics of their personalities were what made the relationship. This is a series I will read again several times just because I enjoyed it so much.

Wonderful

I love this series. It's romance, sci-fi, fantasy, and historical all in one. The characters are well thought out and everything is easy to read and understand. Love it.
