The final book in the Heku Series brings some peace within the factions and within the palace. Chevalier and Emily have reconciled and come to a silent agreement that will benefit not only their own family, but the Equites. Things are looking calmer until someone begins attacking women in the nearby mortal city.
T.M. Nielsen doesn't necessarily consider herself an author. She's an every-day woman who had a story to tell. Never intending to let anyone else read it, she decided to put it all down on paper. What she ended up with is a fascinating tale filling 7 books full of drama, adventure, action, romance, and excitement.
When asked why she decided to publish, she stated, "I want for others to be able to forget about problems in life and to lose themselves in my world... the world of the heku. While I write, I laugh, cry, grin, gasp, and my heart races. I want others to experience that too."
T.M. Nielsen is a computer tech by trade and lives with her husband and two beautiful daughters.
While there was a huge plot twist and an interesting story, the one thing I didn't like was the epilogue, just because I felt the author tried too hard to tie in inside jokes from books ago even though it was really random in the moment. Apart from that, I really liked the way Emily was portrayed after Dain's banishment. She hated Garrett because of what he did to Alexis, but she still held a grudge against Alexis and Allen. It just felt like a very "Emily" thing to do. All in all, a decent ending to a pretty good book series, one of the best of the series in my opinion.
I loved this whole series!!! I hate what happened to Daine. Although I did like to read about the all found happiness in the end. Its amazing how Emily and Chev were able to stay together throughout the whole series with all that they had to go through. It broke my heart when Alex and Garrett broke up but I was glad to see that she found true love in the end and that she also got the chance to be a mother like she wanted.

This was the best one in the series. I wish the other books would have been as good. I did get hooked on the characters but Emily was frustrating and I almost stopped reading the series at one point because of her crazy decisions over and over but I stuck it out and was pleased at the end. Now I would like more of Emily and Chevilier with a more mature Emily.
Awww I didn't want it to end so soon. :( I hope Nielsen will change her mind and continue this series since she has immortal characters and more adventures!
This series started off kind of iffy for me, but it got better! I'm a fan now and I'm sorry it's over. I'll definitely check out Nielsen's other series.
