Did you spend your teenage years in the early 90s going to all night raves somewhere in Australia or the UK? Did you spend the rest of the time listening to, making, discussing, DJing rave/jungle/techno music? Did you obsess over the latest vinyl releases and try to scrape together money to buy them? Did you have a bunch of friends that also revolved around this scene? Are you me?
If you answer yes to the majority of these questions, you'll likely love this simply told, completely disarmingly honest story. Otherwise, it won't mean anything to you.
Really great book for anyone interested in 90s rave or the story of hardcore. A little random at times, but with great insights into making mistakes and what sort of things would have fixed them in hindsight. Very good resource for anyone who likes happy hardcore and wants a more in-depth and honest opinion about where the scene was and how it's been changing for a long time.
