Pretty good western, actually, until the final climax and resolution which didn't quite satisfy the set-up and build-up. Clean, action packed, and strong characters - though the main focus is on Gil the Bounty Hunter vs Digger the Half-breed (who is set up to be the outlaw by the mining survey company which hired Gil).

Solid story telling, but as far as I can tell this was a one off western by this writer. Would like to have followed more of Gil's adventures. Found this paperback for 50 cents at a used bookstore. You might find it on eBay but not a book you need to go out of the way to find; just fun pulp for bedtime reading.
