i was surprised to find this was a self help book on how to live a better, happier and more fulfilled life and at first almost put it down, because i was expecting it to be a fun, humorous book. but it turned out to be both. some of the self help stuff is old-hat and trite, but some was pretty good and almost all of it was told in a humorous way with a definite maine slant that i enjoyed. and there were plenty of just good old fun stories along the way.

What fun! This is a self help book for women, especially those of a certain age. Filled with sound advice, three different perspectives, and a whole lot of fun tales. Set in a northern Maine town, this was a quick, delightful read!

Absolutely one of the best books I have ever read! I laughed all the way through it and learned stuff. Who knew one could learn so much from a moose? Highly recommend this book!

Reading "Finding Your Inner Moose" feels like sitting down with your best group of girlfriends and chatting about all of the issues that come up for a 40+ year-old woman. You finish the book feeling as if "Ida" is your friend -- or someone with whom you'd really like to be friends. She's absolutely down-to-earth and real. She worries about her weight (a little), exercise (a little), her health (a little), her husband's health (a little) -- but she never lets it get in the way of living and enjoying life. I cracked up at parts of the book, giggled or chuckled at many others, but still finished feeling as if I'd made a new friend.

Susan Poulin provides humor and good advice in this charming book. She paints a picture of small town Maine life through the eyes of Ida, a French-Canadian woman and her husband and friends. As a Mainer, I enjoyed it immensely!

I enjoyed this book. Susan was a keynote speaker at a DKG convention in MD and she writes like she talks.
