This is the second book I have read by Aunt Georgia Lee. One of the best things about her books is the way it is written with the spelling being a grabbing piece.(I am a word geek). I must say that through all the steam there is great compassion, learning and enough angst to keep the pages turning. I was a bit surprised at the length of this novel yet was still ready to continue reading about Charlotte and Neyah and all the other amazing characters brought to life on this page. I loved the way some marginalized parts of our world were addressed through fiction that mirrors real world experience. I don't always expect such amazing openness in a fiction work. I am truly an Aunt Georgia Lee fan. This read is worth the time and money. I will read this book again.

Yet, despite their unyielding pursuit, they found themselves unable to let go of the yearning and desire that bound them together.

Charlotte, a woman of extraordinary caliber, possessed an unwavering dedication to aiding others, particularly women. Her selflessness led her to volunteer abroad, dedicating her time to support women in regions where access to education was scarce. Having served in the Air Force for eight years, she now ventured into new professional paths.

Neyah couldn't help but feel a tinge of unease due to the age gap between herself and Charlotte.

This book filled my heart with immense joy, captivating me on multiple levels. Its pages enticed me, urging me to uncover the unfurling story. Undoubtedly, it stands as a remarkable piece of literature deserving recognition and acclaim. I eagerly anticipate revisiting its pages, solidifying its place as one of my top reads of 2023. This book is an absolute must-read, deserving a spot among anyone's top five list for the year.

This book had me at the Wig Sis box on the first page! You know your girl loves her wigs!

I grew up and often visit Atlanta, and the references used in the story made me feel homesick! I especially loved the way all of the characters and even locations, had real meaning in the story. Neyah is a strong CEO that is battling her own demons, but with style, class, and a whole lotta good sex from that charming (I wish I knew in person) Charlotte Ellis (Charlie).

This book had twists and turns that make it an engaging and sexy read. I would highly recommend it. So much so, now I have to read some other works by this author.

First, I want to thank this author for providing content that isn't basic. I identify is gender non-conforming and know people that don't use protective measures when they smash, including myself. The way this story was written, I felt like not only did I get a well thought-out story with characters (including one that is gender non-conforming) that had depth, but also, I learned something. All story should strive to be lit.

This author never disappoints. I wasn't sure after reading a few chapters if I was going to feel comfortable with the main character's issue, but Lee does a great job of turning something that could be sad into a positive. The sex scenes weren't bad either!

This book tackled a very serious and tricky subject with great respect and consideration. I was put off by one of the main characters, just not someone who I would ever take into consideration because of how blatant, forward and sometimes bordering on crude they were. Overall, I enjoyed the book, but seriously had to suspend believe on my end.
