A delightful wee book that includes a short biography of England's most famous and beloved female author and short summaries of all her novels. There's really not much to it, but it's really good if you wish to remind yourself of the storylines or perhaps just find out what happens without having to delve completely in to a full novel.

I claim to be a Jane Austen fan but the truth is I have only ever read PRIDE AND PREJUDICE when I was in high school. Of course I loved it. The rest of my knowledge of Jane Austen's books come from movies. This book was a perfect way to get a quick synopsis of the plots of all of Jane Austen's books and also a bit of history about the author herself. It was a fun little book made all the more fun because I bought it in the Jane Austen Center during a quick 2 minute stop. My sister and I took a bus tour to Bath, England. The point of the tour was to see the Roman Baths. After a quick visit to the Baths (which we enjoyed) we, along with two new friends we met on the tour, made a mad dash up to the center and to see the home where Jane Austen was supposed to have lived during her 4-5 years in Bath. I learned in this little book that Jane Austen loathed her time in Bath. We did not have much time so we weren't able to tour the center but we made a quick stop at the gift shop in the center where this book was recommended by the clerk. It made for a fun read on the plane ride home. I will always associate this little book with a fun adventure in Bath.

Zaten yaşanan onca şeye rağmen Frederick’in Anne’e duygularını açan o mektubu o an yazabilmesinin tek sebebi de o konuşmadır. Çok çok etkileyici diyaloglar var kitapta. Jane Austen <3

This adorable little book is just a little chunk of happy! Standing about 4 inches tall, this enjoyable little read contains an introduction, “Life of Jane Austen,” and major characters and synopses of Austen’s six completed novels. The artwork included is lovely!

I expect impeccable editing, especially when a work is not lengthy. However, such is not the case here: “Mr. Bingley returns to the Bennet estate and ask for Jane’s hand” (84). Really?! Why was this not caught? I do not know. Yet, this book is still a keeper and a delight!

I had been waiting until I had read all of Austen's novel before I dove into this miniature book that is a summary of them all, so the same afternoon I finished Emma I picked this up! The book is only around 5cm/2 inches high, a tiny little hardback, and clocks in at just over 200 mini pages. I've got 5 of these mini books now and I love them all.

I've read one other of these tiny books before, one that summarised War and Peace, and this one was done just as well as my first read. We get a small section about Austen herself before diving into each of her novels. For each book we get a line about each main character, before delving into a summary of the novel. The summaries are really well done, they've definitely put time and thought into how they've written these and they really jogged my memory well for each book.

If you've read and loved Austen's novels this is a lovely wee book to have on your shelves. And if you've not read any Austen and you're curious what her novels are about? This is a great one to pick up. It does, of course, "spoil" the novels, but as all of Austen's works have happy endings I feel like this really isn't too much of an issue in this circumstance.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This little collection of Jane Austen summaries was absolutely perfect for a car ride, perfect size, perfect length, and perfectly written. I surprisingly haven’t read any of her novels yet, but this has encouraged me to move them up the TBR.

Each novel has a summary, a quote, and a list of main characters in the story to help you follow the plot, making it easy to understand even if you haven’t read any of them yet.

I’d recommend these little collections even if you’ve read the stories already. They’re short and sweet and give you a little reminder of all of your favorites.

I watched a fantastic video this morning by Katie from Books and Things (link here: https://youtu.be/GjlZxRfya34) about portrayals of parents in Jane Austen’s literature. Given that she talks in depth about the characters and various plot lines, I felt the need to quickly brush up on my Austen details!

This book is a marvellous homage to Jane Austen, even with a section at the beginning about her life and why her novels are still relevant today. Perfect as a little Jane Austen reference guide!

Literally did read in one sitting as the description tells. A lovely mini book comprised of summaries and character descriptions of all of Jane Austens completed novels, also giving backstory on who she is and how she started writing her stories. I felt I learnt a lot about her and this inspired me to start reading her books. Would definitely recommend. Also looks very cute on your bookshelf.

I am a dedicated “Janeite” and I received this as a gift. It’s such a great idea. Even though I have read all of the complete novels multiple times, this will be handy when I read about Jane, or about her work, or read something referencing her writing and her impact on other writers. In other words, this book will be a permanent part of my own library.

This (literally) little book is such a treat! It's the perfect dose of Jane Austen when you don't have time to read all 6 novels.

Full of detailed summaries of the books, this book is indeed a short read but a fun one. Jennifer Kasius also includes character descriptions and occasional quotes from the text, including The Letter from Persuasion at the very end <3

I have read Pride and Prejudice, and also Emma, but I tend to struggle when reading classics. So this was ideal. I knew all the stories, apart from Northanger Abbey, having seen TV adaptations, but it was great to read them in a simple, quick format.

Even tinier than expected, this volume is a bit difficult to read - it's so small, yet thick, making the pages hard to turn. It's a good refresher of Austen's novels, but not a "must own" for Janites. 3.5 stars

This book is nice to have if you ever need a good refresher on a particular character or story, but the passages are more summaries of the novels. I was expecting abridged versions of the stories instead of summaries so I was left feeling a bit disappointed.

This is such a cute little book! It opens with an introduction and an overview of Jane Austen's life before going into a short description of each novel and it's characters. It's the perfect thing to refresh your memory of the novels and it's quite the charming little package!

I received this tiny little book as a gift. I didn’t think there was any way to do a summary of all of Jane Austin’s books. But this was excellent! A quick way to get a Jane Austin fix!

I received this adorable little volume (smaller than a post-it note) as a gift from my nephew. He lives in the UK, making this little gift even more special.

Surprisingly for a book-lover, I haven't read any Jane Austen yet, and I was keen to find out more in Jane Austen - Her Complete Novels in One Sitting by Jennifer Kasius.

I started taking this book to appointments (physio, OPSM etc.) and it certainly drew attention from others, but it took me well over one sitting to get through it.

Broken down with lists of characters and summary of plot, this little gem covered six Austen novels. The novels were all about romance, marrying within your station and the plot summaries expounded incredibly dull novels.

As a result of reading Jane Austen - Her Complete Novels in One Sitting, I'm no longer keen to read Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice, both of which have been on my TBR list for over 3 years. This being the case, I think this miniature book has failed to pique my interest as a reader, but I will always love it for sentimental reasons, and think of my gorgeous nephew whenever I see it.

This is a beautiful short book, or should I say mini book?, that I got for Christmas from one of my most beloved friends, and that I finished the same day. I think it's so cute that I have everything that Austen written explained to me and told simply, so that I can understand the basic plot. I think I'll get myself more books of this mini series, because they are very useful!

It was an extremely helpful little volume... A good introduction into the stories of Jane Austen. I have read Emma and Pride and Prejudice, and knew a little about Sense and Sensibility. Her other works, however, I knew shamefully little about. This makes me want to read them now, and gives me a boost of confidence at doing so!

“A little Jane Austen is better than none at all” is from the Jane Austen Book Club, and it’s all I can think about when looking at this tiny book. So cute! It has good summaries of each book. It even has main character lists at the beginning. Very fun.

This is a great way to review Jane Austen's six novels. Sometimes they are a little tricky to keep straight. "Which one was that?" Well, this tiny volume gives you just enough of each to help your memory. Thank you, Sarita Farnelli, for this birthday gift.

This tiny book is a good way to learn about the author and their works. It is brief and clearly set out. It gives you the flavour of the author's work which I find helpful as sometimes the language in the original novels can be hard to follow. A good stocking filler.
