Picked this up at the library due to the interesting subject matter. Not just horse breeds but human cultures that have sprung up around them. This isn't a deep look the connection between the species but a sort of selection of interesting events from around the world that highlight it. I learned a lot and who can't enjoy the photographs? I do wish the text had either been shorter or more informative. There are only so many ways you can say they are a nice domesticated species. It was nice to learn about the different cultures but I feel like the surface was barely scratched. But a nice introduction for the topic.
