Loved it first time I ever read a thriller really (haven’t been reading long in fairness). Don’t have much to judge against but I was engaged the whole way through, great book imo.

This book was waaaay long for my taste but it wasn’t terrible and I really enjoyed the ending. Classic Dean Koontz.

I love Dean Koontz stories, but thank goodness he became a better writer after this book. All, and I mean ALL the information about this story came at the very end which was not rewarding, rather unbelievable and felt like okay let's wrap it up. Also, the experiences and situation surrounding Susan were ultimately too long and relatively boring. So much so that I never had a strong desire to read this book instead of searching online or talking with others. This one finally goes back to the free little library where I pulled it from.

From the far-fetched, unbelievable plot twists to the “pick-me” heroine at the center of it all, nothing about this story worked for me. I went in hoping for suspense and came out confused, annoyed, and ready to move on to the next read.
