While I REALY LIKED this book, I do have a few issues that impacted my overall enjoyment of this story. I know the main focus of this series is NOT on the romance, and I'm more than okay with that because these books are so well written, captivating, and intriguing. However, I was disappointed that our hero and heroine, Nachari and Deanna, did not actually meet in person until the last 20% of the story. Although they did form a loose soul to soul connection throughout the plot, that connection lacked substance until they actually met. Unfortunately, by then the book was all but over. I also felt the storyline had too much going on. There were too many needless POVs that robbing the reader of fully enjoying Nachari and Deanna story. It became distracting.
Having said all that, I loved the two main character with all my heart. They were amazingly and charismatically written. They simply jumped off the page. I also felt the author did a great job portraying the torment that Nachari experienced in the valley of Death and Shadows as well as his resilience and determination. It was awe-inspiring, and I fell in love with his character even more. I especially loved getting a huge dose of all Nachari's brothers throughout this story. They brought much needed comic relief. As for Nachari and Deanna, their ending warmed my heart.

Hey, Tessa Dawn?
Satan called this time. He said that you are scaring him. Maybe you need to dial it down a notch!
This book was truly dark. Like, the hero spent most of the book getting tortured in hell dark. And, hey, I love a good torturing as much as the next girl, but I think I might need a palate cleanser after this.
Aww, look at the cute puppy! You won't give me nightmares, will you?
Okay, feeling a little better now....
So, even though these books each have a story of a couple getting together, there are a lot of other things going on aside from them. And, in this particular book, the couple almost took the background story. There was tons of other things happening. Yes, evil things. It was pretty delightful.

This is the fourth book in the ongoing saga about two warring Vampyr races...one of the dark and one of the light but both forever cursed.
The book I've been waiting for...Nachari's book, the sexy, flirty, sweet, green eyed (of course) Vampyr Wizard that drives all the women crazy, who has taken under his wing a young, converted Vampyr Wizard, and who sacrificed himself for his race and his king...and this is what I got.
Boy...do I feel cheated!! Why is it that it's always the sexy one of the group's book that just doesn't live up to the hype? I'm always disappointed by something and this one was no different. In fact, this didn't even feel like Nachari's book. It really should've been someone else's with Nachari's storyline going along in the background. That might have been the saving grace.
Don't get me wrong...the book is still interesting, the drama if full on and the characters are just getting more and more developed but if you're looking for romance in this particular book, don't bother. Heck, the main couple don't even meet in person until the eighty-two percent mark and they have literally minutes to "get down to business" or Nachari dies. AND WTH?? TWO SEX SCENES PEOPLE!!
Really, I'm not complaining about the sex, not really...but the romance? Heck to the YES!! Nachari's story was to be the sacred grail to which all the other books paled in comparison but where in the heck was the sexy guy? In Hell, of course, as were we. Bloody hell....I was gutted. (That's my ode to my lovely British friend, Rach...pretty good huh Rach?)
And don't get me started on his destiny, Deanna, because seriously, who in the heck was she? I can't even tell you. There were very few things we knew about her besides the woman could draw, she's from New Orleans and her physical description. That's it. Oh sure, there are a few more pieces to the Deanna puzzle but they were so glossed over that I can't even remember them. And this is a main character!!
Amazingly, we do get to know several of the other characters really well. Namely, Kagen. I would have bet money that his story was next and when I saw the title, Blood Redemption, my mind was whirling with possibilities. In fact, it may still very well be since there is no information out but by the end of the book, I'm pretty sure it will be about Saber, not a brother. Kinda weird, huh?
Speaking of Saber....Wow, if the next book is about him, I'm really keeping my fingers crossed...I don't want to be disappointed again. And even though the concept is not new, I still love when a bad boy gets redeemed and it will be all kinds of crazy. Those Dark Ones will go mad and I can't wait.
And lastly, we have Braden and Kristina...almost fifteen years apart but destined? Really?? This might be a bit of a hard sell especially with all that is going on with Braden. Speaking of which, what in the HELL is going on with him? I hope he keeps a good reign on his hormones because we all know that Kristina can't. Hopefully, their book won't be for a while. I really think we need more of a slow build with those two. And Kristina needs to mature more and maybe, I don't know, come into some amazing Vampyr power so she can redeem herself and hold her own...build her confidence and self worth.
Back to the drama...it was good, it was interesting and it was b-o-r-i-n-g!!! I don't really care what goes on in Hell, I don't care about all the weird demons and I don't care all the different ways they tortured Nachari. I really couldn't stand it and read through it as fast as I could...I mean who really 'likes' to read about that. And gross, gross, gross with him kissing that disgusting Noiro. I don't know which was worse...the kissing or the eating of the little demon. YUCK!
I did like all the interactions with the prior characters that we've come to know and love...or at least like a little and I did love, LOVE, love all the interactions with the brothers...even as weird as some of them were. My favorite scene in the whole book though was the one between Nachari and Napolean. It was sooo touching...I even got a little teary-eyed!
The epilogue was just as unconnected as the rest of the story between Nachari and Deanna. I just didn't feel their all of a sudden "soul deep connection" and I was left with feeling like I really missed out on a great love story. Here's hoping the next story will be better!

Nachari is one of the most liked vampire amongst his community and it was a pity that we didn't get to see him charming his way through this book as he was busy being tortured in hell and all that. Literally. I still can't believe how dark this author imagination can be, but okay.
The first 60% of this book was meh as the hero was being held as a prisoner in hell and the heroine was on earth learning about him through his family. I enjoy more seeing the romance development in general but here the most important part was the plot, and it was super cool seeing him outsmart his captors, seeing him planing his scape, seeing him doing grotesque things to survive, seeing the heroine making important decisions, seeing all the family dynamics. But for me it only got great when the couple were finally together, and it took waaaaay too long for that to happen. I wanted more of the hero's charisma, of his brightness and humor.
So that's the only reason why I think this book was so so. But I gotta say, Braden makes up all the bad things in this series. He's awesome. I have so much fun when he appears. Every time he appears is a time to laugh out loud. He's truly a treasure.

So I am totally in the minority here. It's happened before and I'm sure it'll happen again.
First off, let me say that Nachari is my favorite Silivasi brother. Unfortunately, I think he got the raw end of the deal. This book did not feel like his book - AT ALL. Nachari was not in the spotlight. It was split between him, Saber, Kagen, Kristina, and Braden. There was no focus, too many POV changes, and I thought there were many scenes that were completely unnecessary. I didn't think hearing from Kristina, Braden, or Noiro added anything to the story. All it did was take away from Nachari.
Deanna, Nachari's destiny, had a lot of potential but unfortunately she was weak and fell flat. I didn't think there was any character development. I never got a good impression of who she was. She came to Dark Moon Vale because she "saw" this gorgeous guy being tortured and suffering in hell. This manifested in her drawings which ultimately led her to the Silivasi's. It was such a great idea for Deanna to have this connection to Nachari before anyone even knew she was his destiny. Unfortunately, once she got there, all anyone did was sit around and wait. Nachari deserved better.
Because Nachari and Deanna didn't meet until the last 5% of the book, there was zero connection. I had hoped she would have felt Nachari's pull more so they would've had something substantial between them before they met. Nachari should have emerged long before the end of the book. They had no chemistry and the sex just had me wincing. I need more than "she's his destiny" for me to feel a connection.
I kept waiting for Nathaniel, Marquis, and Kagen to push Deanna to draw more, for them to work together to help Nachari, but basically he was on his own. The brothers also dropped the fact they were going to call the wizards for help. I wish Deanna and the brothers would have tried to reach Nachari somehow. Don't get me wrong, I loved the idea of Nachari using his magic to get out, but I at least wanted to see everyone trying to help him. Instead, too much time was spent with Kristina and Ramsey/Saber and Braden wasting time talking to Deanna, and defending/worrying about Kristina. *Sigh*
Also, there were several times that Kagen and Marquis seemed out-of-character to me. I thought it was odd that Kagen let Deanna out with Kristina without seeing Ramsey first. Also, bonking Deanna on the head was completely childish. Furthermore, Marquis was a little too warm and fuzzy for my liking. The joking was uncharacteristic. The fact that all the brothers didn't try to decipher the drawings didn't seem right. You would think with this new found information they would be doing everything they could to figure this out. Even Saber, with his laid-back demeanor and his modern slag, just didn't sit right. I really hope this was part of the character he was playing and not his true self. This was not the same guy we met in book 1.
Lastly, the Unchained Melody scene had me cringing. It was over-the-top cliché. This does not seem like Nachari. Also, the torture scenes had very little impact on me. Most of them were campy and had the opposite effect.
I was so looking forward to re-visiting this world and for the most part I did enjoy hearing from the Silivasi brothers again but unfortunately I was quite saddened by these turn of events. I guess I'll have to just keep thinking Narchari will someday find his true destiny.

Okay let me just say that Nachari REALLY did it for me in this book. I mean he had me in a constant state of...
Even during those dark, sadistic moments he had to endure.
I love how the story and plot concerning him, for majority of his book was woven. It was outstanding in this respect. Because even the things that are going on around him, are still very much connected to whether or not things are going to happen the way you hope they will, concerning Nachari, or if everything is just simply going to go south.
When it comes to this, the story was definitely on point. Even with the mind boggling logic concerning a certain female. I have not liked this chick since she has come on the scene in book 2. And though her presence here or her stupidity, which ever you want to call it, serves it's purpose for the overall plot, she still did not keep me from reacting this way...
I mean really? One of the Villains in this book summed up her place perfectly. I agree with him 100% I must say.
Now, one of the things I love about each book, is the circumstances & occurrences are fresh when it comes to how our Light Vampires meet their Destiny And every female is quite unique. In personality as well a physical attributes. So I love the variety you get with that in this series. What made this book even more unique for me, was how the author managed to build an emotional connection between our heroine, Deanna & Nachari even though for most of the book they are not communicating face to face. Their circumstances/plight vs. how things unfold with them, I thought was done excellently. And it kept me eager & saturated with anticipation of what will happen with them.
However There was a major occurrence that happens around the 87% mark of the book that left me.. How do I say this??
I was not very happy with how that all played out. So this is why I couldn't give this one the 5 stars that I wanted to. But there was a moment towards the end that did appease me somewhat, and that caused me to change my initial rating from 3.5 stars to 4 stars.
Once again the Silivasi Brothers will have you weeping with love and joy, concerning their Bro-mance, but also they will have you like this with some of their convos and reactions..
And I must say my little Bray Bray,(Braden) definitely surprised me in this one. In many ways. The boy had me shocked, dismayed, confused, somewhat afraid, and sighing with pride all at once. And I was super hyped that I guessed his "place" in the Vampyr world before it was revealed in this book. I predict there will be great things to come for him in this series. At least I'm hoping :)
This series overall has been just an amazing & addictive read for me & my sister, Valls ;D We're coo-coo for cocoa puffs, I tell ya.
It's dark, intense, suspenseful, while sometimes being predictable at the same time. It's like even when you are able to figure some things out, that doesn't lessen the shock factor when it comes to fruition. And I love that.
I cannot wait to dive into Saber's book. That epilogue had me like...
As always I must warn you that these are dark reads. There are some very hard, gritty, raw, gory, and just beyond difficult scenes sometimes, to get through. Read this series in order, but *Proceed with Caution*

And I was super hyped that I guessed his "place" in the Vampyr world before it was revealed in this book. I predict there will be great things to come for him in this series. At least I'm hoping :)
This series overall has been just an amazing & addictive read for me & my sister, Valls ;D We're coo-coo for cocoa puffs, I tell ya.
It's dark, intense, suspenseful, while sometimes being predictable at the same time. It's like even when you are able to figure some things out, that doesn't lessen the shock factor when it comes to fruition. And I love that.
I cannot wait to dive into Saber's book. That epilogue had me like...
As always I must warn you that these are dark reads. There are some very hard, gritty, raw, gory, and just beyond difficult scenes sometimes, to get through. Read this series in order, but *Proceed with Caution*

There isn't one thing that stood out as my favorite in this book because the whole story was so fantastic.
Our poor Master Wizard Nachari is stuck in hell, being tortured and manhandled by demons. The whole time this is happening to him, his brothers are keeping vigil by his bedside willing him to come back to them. There is only one thing strong enough to bring Nachari back to the present world, Deanna, his destiny.
Deanna is gifted, she has seen the beautiful man being tortured and he keeps coming to her in her drawings. Feeling drawn by the thoughts, she seeks answers in Dark Moon Vale. Once there, she finds out a lot more than she bargained for but, she knows the only way to save him is to submit to the curse that is given to the Males in the House of Jadon and pray he makes it back in time. Does that happen?
I loved this book, there are so many facets to the story line you get completely engrossed in their world and when the big twist (or should I say twists) hit at the end you are immediately wanting the next book.
Tessa Dawn is a gifted author, if you haven't picked up the Blood Curse Series you need to do that right now!

As I’ve been entertained by the Blood Curse series, I’ve noticed two things. One: Even though I can predict the plot, I still heightened by the anticipation, so the suspense it not lost. It’s a formula the writer has to pull off, and though a reader can quickly get her number, Ms. Dawn still does well with it: the Aw Sh*t! moment at about 50% in the plot; the next rise to the big one about 3 quarters in; the one fell swoop ending that rushes to culminate a semi-victory for the ironically clueless good guys. A little falling action for is for the sake of character reconciliation, and finally comes the you-know-you-wanna-read-the-next-one epilogue!
Two: When there are fewer turns away from the central plot, I tend to like the book more. Book 1 &3 served as introduction and transition (filler). As an introduction, book 1 was chock full of backstory, the focus on many “players” important in the scheme of things. Book 3 (just wanted to have it all)provided two major conflicts, one of which was left hanging, introduced another evil-doer, and had disproportioned PoVs. The magic & the human world contended with the Dark Ones and Light Ones for the spotlight. Too much!
I’ve enjoyed the world building, but like book 2, this book involved fewer distractions, also fewer stories inside the story. It’s not that I have trouble following when there are a lot of stories within the story, I am just a reader who likes cohesion. I don’t want you to lead me on and then leave me hanging. I don’t want side stories that aren’t that central to the plot to go on and on.
In Blood Shadows, Nachari Silivasi, who stole the show in the previous book, is in hell. Literally. The only problems are he is not dead, his mate has come and the Dark Ones are still plotting. That’s it. Simple right? Well, the plot is more fluid in this one. The kicker is that all PoVs are very connected to the main conflict, but it's like a sickening comedy of bad & laughable errors, communication amongst them is woefully lost considering they're vampires. I was often looking like,

She didn’t get much development past her uncharacteristic devotion to Nachari, but she's so likable. Her image begs for more attention, despite how she rolls into Dark Moon Vale and becomes, in some instances, an almost implausibly selfless person.
Incomplete characterization aside, the reader gets an endearing view of the connection between Nachari's and Deanna's spirits. I was delighted when they first interacted. This was a great element, but their get together is…rushed! Bummer.
Even though I thought some of the tones in dialogue and explanations were misplaced, the story is tighter and more put together; the characterization of Nachari was consistent and satisfyingly notable, and as a bonus, secrets are revealed (Good prediction, Nhya!). Ordered the paperback as soon as it came out early on the 5th. Got it on 8th, and already done! Did NOT want this one to end!!!!!! Now I have to wait for the next one but will buy the kindle for my collection when it comes out on the 28th. And read it again. So worth the wait.........

The world building expands and becomes so picturesque as Miss Dawn puts the pen to paper, covering all aspects of her multi-dementional tale of Good - vs - Evil, Light - vs - Dark. Creating action-packed fight sequenses that are vividly depicted, well-written and Twisted.
Nachari Silvasi is the peace keeper of the House of Jadon, so to speak, but as the scenes unfold a sinister plot to destroy his one chance at true happiness, he fights back with everything he has to keep his sanity in tact and his goal alive.
Deanna Dubois is as stunning as she is intelligent and strong, she follows her heart, fears and consequenses be damned. Without understanding the whole picture, all she knows is she must get to Dark Moon Vale—and away she goes.
This installment completely blew me away with its twists and turns that brought tears to my eyes, laughter with well placed humor, especially when it comes to Marquis. Dark, deep and emotional pulls and tugs on the heart strings. I Love it when a book is so well depicted I can visualize the world clearly, rooting for the good guys and wanted to destroy the bad.
This series is one of my favorites and I am so addicted to it, I cannot wait to see where Miss Dawn takes me in the next installment - BLOOD REDEMPTION!

Nachari Silivasi is the youngest surviving brother to the Silivasi Brothers. He is A wizard with powers unlike any others. He is also a Warrior. When the King Napoleon is almost lost to them Nachari steps in and puts himself in the dark abyss to save the King he is tortured beyond anything one can believe or dream up. Four months of daily torture and yet he still clings to hope that he will be saved.
Deanna is having nightmares of torture by demons, she regularly draws her dreams , all are of the same man. She must find out who this man is, one of her drawings lead her to Dark Moon Vale Clinic. What a great story Blood Shadows was. I love the character of Nachari so I was definitely looking forward to his story.
This was such a darker installment than the past ones but still amazing. We got to see what Nachari went through in the Valley of Death and Shadows. This was heart wrenching to say the least. Unlike the others before, this was a darker novel. We got to see all the torture and hopelessness Nachari experienced at the hands of Ademordna and all the other Demons. It was hard to read at times. This was a very emotional book.
Deanna Dubuis travels to Dark Moon Vale in search of answers to her dreams and the paintings she’s created of a tortured soul in hell. What she finds is incredible; a race of species she didn’t even know existed. She’s thrust into a new life with a whole lot of sacrifices so fast she doesn’t have time to even think, but she she makes decisions based on her heart to commit to Nachari. Even with all these changes and things thrown at her, Deanna is such a strong person who is willing to fight. She’s the perfect match for Nachari.
There was a lot going on in this book, not only with Nachari and Deanna, but with some of the other supporting characters. Lots of action, suspense, twists and turns and even a shocking ending.
The one thing I wish is that Nachari and Deanna would have had more time getting to know each other personally before being rushed into the mating and everything.
Otherwise this was an awesome installment, and I cant wait until the next one is out.

Freaking Fantastic Story! Loved it! Eric Dove can sing! (audible review)
Wow this book was awesome! Loved every minute of it. Deanna was great. Nachari is so awesome! Just a sexy, handsome, character with a wonderful personality and sense of humor, love that vampire wizard! The two of them had good chemistry and there was a nicely mildly written sex scene. I really enjoy that these books are so well written in the sex department and not full of cuss words but are really intense.
There are some serious dark moments that are truly cringe worthy but ohhh so good. I love all the characters in this series so far.
The story line and plot was amazing! Fantastic you just didn't want to stop reading/listening. Seriously powerful vampires.So awesome! The bad vampires are truly bad too. The demons were awful! But it made this story so good and exciting.

What happened to this series? This is the "book that jumped the shark."
What a disaster.
The Blurb is deceiving. The book has little to do with the vampire Nachari. Deanna is a horrible destiny. The flattest one yet. If she's so psychic why is she such a wimp about her drawings?
There is too much about other people who have nothing to do with Nachari and his destiny. The only secondary vampires who should be prominent in this book are the ones who'll be mains in the next. I hope to never hear of Cristina again in future books unless she is being shredded apart by Salvatore or one of the bad guys.
The vampires are all out of character: The classic, Dracula-like vamps morphed into bad copies of Ward's vampires, using slang.
The whole "Stargate" B rated sci-fi theme is not working. I liked the darker-horror feel to the books instead. That is something else that changed for the worse.
The Unchained Melody made me want to gag. All I could see was the couple in the movie Ghost spinning the pottery. It's not Nachari unless he was using it to make a joke.

Blood Shadows by Tess Dawn was a great read - The romance involving our couple Deanna and Nachari was a little unusual, to say the least, since Deanna only gets to know Nachari, who is very different from his brothers, through her dreams and other people. Deanna and Nachari don’t really meet until the end when she has to truly put her trust in him so they can come together to fulfill his destiny. At the end of this story you also know there will be so much more Nachari will have to deal with in the future but he knows the love of Deanna and his brothers is unparallel. In the side stories we got a very interesting twist about Saber, were given information on the characters of Kristina, Braden and Kagen , and we get to see our previous couples Nathaniel and Jocelyn and a little of Marquis and Ciopori. I am looking forward to the next story in this very interesting and exciting series.

WOW!
I don't think I have ever had a book bring out so many emotions as this one did. HOLY COW...I laughed, bawled like a baby, gritted my teeth in horror, felt anguish, my heart broke (more than once)(my poor husband actually came and gave me a hug I was sobbing so bad lol). Tessa Dawn has literally exploded to the top of my list of absolute favorite authors. If you have not read this series GO NOW do not wait, its the best Dark paranormal romance I have ever read!!! A 10++ in my book!!! Can't wait for the next book in the series!

good verses evil, light verses dark, who will win? Nachari has definitely made his powers known in the Abyss, with his family and his Destiny. Deanna has got to learn how to trust her inner voice and follow her heart which leads her to Nachari. Nachari trusts Deanna's love to help him out of the Abyss and back to her and his family. Good and Light will ALAWAYS win!

As always -another amazing addition to one of my favorite series. Waiting for each new book is so hard when the writing is this good and the series has so much to offer the reader. Tessa delivers another fast paced journey into her vampire battle of good versus evil that should not be missed.

THIS was my favorite.. But each book has it's problems..

Even if it was just a book I couldn’t stand it. AND I couldn’t wait for him to kill Noiro. Actually I wish he could have killed everyone in the Valley of Death and Shadows. God! The author wrote those evil demons so well the reader just loved hating them, and the Dark Ones. I know Salvatore is going to die soon and I’ll be so happy when that happens. And what Nachari did to that little dwarf-demon was pretty damn disgusting. EEEWWW.
This book was the best, yet the most annoying. I could see Braden putting off talking to Kagen about Kristina, he was only 15 after all. However, Kristina acted like another 15 year old instead of a 29 year old. She really got on my last nerve in this book. She almost got them both killed.
Another reviewer said she had a problem with the “dominance/submission” part of the story but I didn’t see that at all. The women were all very, very strong characters and the men just wanted to spend their lives making the women happy and protecting them. I saw nothing submissive about those women. From what I could see the women ruled-the-roost, had their men wrapped around their little fingers. But, that’s just my opinion.
As good as these books are I miss sexual tension between the hero and heroine in EVERY book. There was always sex but nothing that led up to it. I’m assuming this author doesn’t know how to write it. And, believe it or not, I don’t think there was nearly enough swearing. There was soooo much blood and gore, and very inventive, disgusting ways the brother’s had for killing people, but it was like they were afraid to swear. It didn’t really make sense. I mean, “couldn’t give a rats hind-end?” Really? The F-Bomb was used in one of the other books but we couldn’t use “ass” in this one? The lack of swearing was totally ridiculous at times.
And the part where they had 7 or 8 minutes to have sex was soooo stupid. She let them make her vampire but she acted like a 16 year old virgin when it came to them having sex or Nachari would die! Really? The storyline was the best so far but I was really disappointed in the part when they had to have sex. As far as I’m concerned that could have been written differently, and made more enjoyable. Deanna acted like an imbecile. And then to read that her hand didn’t even fit around his erection, “not even close.” Umm, NO! That’s all, just NO!
I was absolutely amazed at the epilogue. I would never have thought it.
My daughter loaned me this book.

I look forward to this time of the year, where Tessa Dawn releases her next book in the enthralling Blood Curse series. The world is incredible. Dark Moon Vale is my favorite place to be.
And the Silivasi brothers are like old friends. I get a kick out of all the different personalities, and how they interact with each other. As different as the brothers are from one another, they are all lethal. And very hot.
Master Wizard Nachari, the especially gorgeous and most beautiful of the Silivasi's, is stuck in the Valley of Death And Shadows, chained up naked being, whipped, tortured, boiled and skinned alive. As he prays for death.
In the meantime his future destiny Deanna makes her way to Dark Moon Vale to meet this mysterious man she is drawing pictures of.
That is where she discovers Nachari's tragic situation. He is stuck in hell and nobody knows how to help him.
It's devastating to see Nachari change from his normal witty, cheerful self to being full of anguish and suffering. But this book is dark, and it's only to be expected under the circumstances.
Spoilers:
Kristina and Braden are not my favorite characters; however,their attraction is undeniable. They compliment each other, and I think I will like them better once they are together. They have a lot in common being both immature and impulsive. Neither of them will have a destiny, so it works out perfectly.
Ramsey, the unbelievably hot sentinel, who I refuse to share with anyone:
"Believe me; you don't want to turn me on-or piss me off. Succeed at either one, and you're gonna have a whole lot of vampire you can't handle to deal with, you here me?"
Okay..that just...says it all! I can't articulate how much I love Ramsey! But I really love the sound of the whole lot of vampire...
Saber:
He had me at "A friend of my friend is my enemy." Way back in Nathaniel's book when he whispered to Jocelyn.
Never did I think he would have a book of his own. I am pleasantly surprised at the turn of events. I just can't wait!
As much as I adore this series, Nachari's story was cut short for me. I don't feel as though the focus of the book was on Nachari, as much as the side characters, which I enjoy, but they seemed to be separate from what was happening to Nachari, including the Silivasis. I also wish there was more Deanna/Nachari time, and that they had more of a connection.
I also wish for a novella that would continue their story. I would like to see how Nachari is dealing with what happened to him. And the role his brothers and Deanna would play.

With the help of the Silivasi Brothers and Their Wifes Deanna and Nachari may find the strength to to beat the Evil Lurking everywhere even in their own mist.
I have read all the Blood Curse Books and am not patient about waiting for the next. I have learned that with Tessa Dawn's Books it really is worth the very longggg wait.
Nachari and Deanna story is so beautiful, haunting gritty and just a whole other take on Vamps!! She never fails to produce a book that will stay with you long after you have read it, or books that you will reread often. This Book lives up to all my expectations and more. I knew there was a reason for Kristina being turned. Even in book 1 I felt like Saber (Bad Dude) was more then what was written about him!
Thank you for that Ms. Dawn! This book delivers the Awesome and Fantastic Writings of Ms. Tessa Dawn who in my opinion needs to be more well known as her writings bring Paranormal/ Vampire/Romance /Sex to a whole other level that writers need to step up their own games to keep up with MS. Dawn

Wow! I want a vampire wizard! Review to come. Loved it!

I've been a huge fan of Tessa Dawn's Blood Curse series from the start, and she doesn't disappoint with this latest installment, Blood Shadows. I loved how the romance between Nachari and Deanna progressed in this book, since they were separated throughout almost the entire story physically, but they were already intertwined in each others lives and hearts through the blood moon destiny.
Tessa Dawn isn't afraid to get down and dirty with the horror scenes, and there are plenty of gruesome parts in this book, which I absolutely love about her writing.
It was also nice to see more of Braden, without giving away any spoilers, the ending result with his plot line in this installment has me begging Tessa to write a novel about Braden eventually! He is such an interesting character and I have loved watching him grow through the entire series! It was also great to see more of Kagen, and I hope he'll be finding his destiny soon as well :)
And of course, the epilogue! Wow is all I can say! It left us with a total cliffhanger, and I can't wait for Blood Redemption.

Yay!!!! This is what I love! I love a hero that is self-sacrificing, loves his family to the point he will endure anything to save them, protects his woman-even from the bowels of hell, is strong and intelligent and clever and comfortable enough with his manhood to be open and vulnerable. That, to me, was Nachari. I also love a female that is realistic in reactions but also doesn't fight and argue to the bitter end. Deanna doesn't spend half the book running from her nightmares. She seizes the first opportunity to run to them and figure it out. She thinks through the unbelievable information received about her fate and makes decisions accordingly. She does some self-sacrificing of her own--to ultimately save Nachari. My only complaint in this book is that the wrap up between Nachari and Deanna was so late in the book and seems SO rushed. The twist in this book, at the end, with the new addition to the House of Jadon, rocked my world. I'm soooo excited to explore this new direction. Well done :)

I really struggled with how to rate this one. I couldn't figure out how I felt about it, exactly. I was initially disappointed that Nachari and his destiny were not together in the majority of the book because Narchari was in hell for such a long time. Ultimately, before the book's conclusion, I realized that I'm NOT the author and that its not up to me as a reader to decide what will happen. After I came to that conclusion during the book, I was able to enjoy it much better. There were scenes that made me tear up - it was that heartbreaking. Things that happened have endeared me to Nachari forever (and I thought Marquis was my favorite brother) and even though I've loved Napolean, I now love him even more. The side stories here are interesting and kept this reader glued to the ereader screen. Well done. Can't wait for the next book.

Let me start with saying that I'm a big fan of this series, I thought Blood Possession was excellent. That being said this story was just ok for me. I found the beginning and middle too slow it took Nachari too long to get back for my liking and when he did it just was too much all at once. I will say that the end was really good and I will read the next book in this series.

I have very much enjoyed this series. This book was also very good. The Author does a great job building her characters and the world they live in. Books 2 & 3 are still my favorites so far, but I'm definitely looking forward to her next book in this series.
