The Magical Path: Creating the Life of Your Dreams and a World That Works for All

Rate this book
At the start of his career, Marc Allen never took a business course; he simply made what he calls “a sloppy, disorganized, lazy, and intuitive search through the books of Western magic.” There he found the tools that took him from being a poverty case to a multimillionaire and helped him create one of the most successful independent publishers in the country. In The Magical Path , he presents these tools — effective, easy-to-apply practices, including affirmation, visualization, and guided meditation — that can change the course of readers’ lives in miraculous ways, as they did his. Because these tools are so simple and powerful, Allen calls them magic . But far from esoteric, they are tools anyone can use to achieve their dreams and goals.

A blend of Law of Attraction, meditation, affirmations, and mantras. I happened upon this book at work, the title intrigued me so I sat down with. While I have read a lot of books on the Law of Attraction and magic, this was the first one that truly resonated with me on a spiritual level. I understood it on a much deeper level than with other books, and found after only a couple of weeks of using the first simple meditation things began to change in my life for the better. I started to feel better about myself. And When that happens you simply start attracting better things naturally.

As with anything to do with the Law of Attraction you have to find a way of understanding that works for you. No two authors will write about it in the same way. No two people will understand it the same way either. Even if you don't believe in the Law, give this book a go, try the meditations and see what happens.

This was a rather bland Christian-themed New Age book about magic. The author repeatedly stated that it wasn't, but also used many Hebrew names of god, references to scripture and Christian teachings, and references to god. If you are interested in Christian-tinged magic, then this might be for you. It was not for me, and even in the parts of the book that were unaffected by that bias, there wasn't a lot here that I didn't already know. There was an extensive quote from Israel Regardie, and references to several of his contemporaries, and I think one would be better off pursuing the original sources than reading this. Regarding the audio format, I found some of the songs were a tad self indulgent, and that the guided meditations suffered from a lower audio quality than the rest of the book, but were reasonably good.

I have this book offered by a friend.
The book was published in 2021, contains 12 chapters and 200 pages.
The book is a mix of Bible quotes, Meditation text, Affirmations, Law of Attraction, Law of Intention, Visualisation, Astrology. I did not understand the flow from one chapter to another. It is so much mixed with no clear intention.
I read a lot of self-help books. I did not learn anything new from this book.
For Bible, read Bible, for Affirmations, Louise Hay is root author, for Power of Belief Joe Dispenza / Bruce Lipton, for Astrology Nadiya Shah books and online, for Meditation Bryan Colter Astrology.
Do not buy this book if you already read some on those authors.

Magical!

Love the reminder that prayer and affirmations should be daily habits. Thank you for sharing the messages in such an organized way. You have me a lot to remember and to think about. With gratitude.

This is not a big book, but I took my time with it and read a little at a time. I have heard Marc Allen in interviews, so I am familiar with him. I connect with his gentle approach to life (he calls it lazy, I call it gentle) and this book supports that.

There are meditations, affirmations, prayers and inspiring quotes throughout. He takes a deeper dive in some areas like the Kabbalah and the Five-Center System, but overall discusses several ways to bring magic into your life. While the meditations are somewhat repetitive, overall I found this book inspiring and uplifting. I have already incorporated some tools into my daily life.

Over simplistic and fairly redundant. Then again maybe the path to creating the life that one desires is far simpler than I could ever imagine?

Exceptional and timely. This book came to me when I was experiencing a massive period of transformation back in 2013. Exactly what I needed to get through a difficult time, and believe in my dreams once again.
