Taylor Carter-Bryant is well on her way to entrepreneurial success with her fitness center--until an enemy from her scandalous past shows up to take her down. She's always been a tough woman with a fighting spirit, but lately she's feeling pressure from too many places at once. Taylor is not only struggling to recover from a life-altering leg injury, but she is at risk of losing the business she is passionate about at the hands of a woman scorned. As if that weren't bad enough, an old college friend comes back into her husband's life, and suddenly Taylor is at risk of losing him to an addiction she didn't even know he had. When the enemy threatens to take away all that she holds dear, Taylor is faced with a submit to God's will and let Him fight her battles, or turn away from the Word. Will she survive the wrath of her enemies and be declared victorious, or will she succumb to the pressure of the flesh and go back to her former naughty ways?
Ashea Goldson, a native NewYorker and Metro Atlanta transplant, is a multi-published Bestselling author and indie screenwriter, who has frequently been called a “kingdom writer.” Having a vivid imagination which always connected her to reading, writing, and storytelling from an early age, Ashea began her publishing career by writing for high school and college publications. Soon afterwards she received a BA in Communications from Fordham University in the Bronx, New York. She also later graduated Magna cum laude and earned an MA degree in English /Secondary Teacher Education from The University of Phoenix. Although she has been an English teacher and advocate of literacy for over twenty years, when she is not in the classroom, she transforms herself into writer extraordinaire;it is then that she is able to fully indulge in her creative passions. As a Christian fiction novelist since 2008, Ashea has written many traditionally published works including The Lovechild, Joy Comes In The Morning, Count It All Joy, Let Joy Arise, Scorched, and When Kingdom Comes which were all released by Kensington Publishers. After writing numerous stage plays and skits for various events over the years, in 2009 she also wrote and produced her first film, Searching For The Right Thing and her first short film, pieces From The Bottom. Her greatest strength is the ability to create flawed characters, who while having ordinary challenges, are able to experience extraordinary victories; this allows for an inspirational yet relatable message. Additionally, she has been a powerhouse of characterization, spinning webs of mind numbing tales which pull the readers in by the heart strings. Yet Ashea’s writing skills do not end here. Ghostwriting has been equally as fulfilling; she has been able to use her immense imagination to transform her client’s voice and vision into a literary reality. She has written for the following genres: Christian fiction, Urban Fiction, Ethnic Fiction,Women’s Fiction, Romance, young adult fiction, and Memoir., and has delivered breathtaking manuscripts to anonymous clients all around the country. She is currently working on a series of childrens books, and a reading podcast among other independent projects.

While I liked the story line, it just did not flow as well as other Urban Christian Fiction I have read. I think maybe the author is new at writing. Definitely has potential, though.
Never let anything in your past affect what God has for your future.
Taylor Carter has not always been a Christian all her life. Before Taylor found God she was in a very serious car accident that killed the married man that she was involved with and also took away her ability to walk. After all that was said and done with this life altering event, Taylor still was able to see her way through.
Fast forward to the present; Taylor is now the owner of Push It Fitness center and married to Keith Bryant. Of course like many say, you cannot be a child of God and not have trials. The wife of the man that was killed in the accident that she was involved in is back to get Taylor. She has a serious case of a woman scorned syndrome. Added to the chaos, Taylor has to deal with the house guest from hell named Paul who is the good friend of Keith, and may hold the key to a painful past that he has hidden from his wife.
Will Taylor and Keith’s marriage survive all trails and tribulations? Will Taylor continue to support her husband once his secret past comes to light? For a reviewer that is not a fan of Christian fiction I will say that I thoroughly enjoy this book. It was just enough religion to know that is Christian fiction but enough that it is not thrown in the reader’s face. The characters in this novel are those that the reader can relate to, from the wild roommate to the holy sister-in-law. For this to be a debut novel she knocks this one out the ballpark. Yes, I do see the best is yet to come.

Wow, just amazing! Glory be to God, Halleluyah! This book is the best book I have read so far! It relates to me in so many levels. God really is good all the time. Prayer is the key to everything and it's never to late for the Almighty God to touch anyone no matter their state or condition because he has love for each and everyone of us. The joy of the Lord is my strength and this book proved to me that we can do anything through Christ that strengthens us. Praise God that thus was a marvelous book to read. Temptation and enemies comes in different form but we can overcome that with the Grace of God. Mrs. Golds on did a magnificent job on this book!!! May God continue to bless you, your family and all the readers out there and everybody else. Amen.
Book 15: Let Joy Arise by Ashea S. Goldson. Taylor was involved in a very bad accident that left her with a serious leg injury. After the accident Taylor changed her ways and decided to follow Jesus. There are times will our days seem dark, but let go and let God. When trouble arises, let joy arise.
This book was very inspiring and helped to identify some problem areas in my personal walk with Jesus. Ashea touches on even the seemingly minuscule details of the protagonist's life and somehow manages to highlight how God is the priority even during those moments.
I loved this book. I especially liked Taylor's personality in this series. But both twins in the Joy series was good. I loved how they love God. Taylor's character was so powerful how she continue to pray to God even when her enemies tried to destroy her. This was an excellent Christian Book!
