I read this as a part of my first IRONMAN preparation. While I read it just a month before the event, the learnings from the book were very helpful in preparing myself for the event. Getting to understand the basics, micronutrients, macronutrients, etc and most importantly, the linkage on how the food we eat is so tightly linked to the quality of performance in any physical activity, especially endurance sports.
A great resource for this Half-Ironman journey I am on. This book has a lot of info that has helped me have more energy for training and opened my eyes to a whole new world of nutrition for endurance athletes. I'm even more exited about my up-coming races after reading this!
