This book is pure awesome. I don't normally subscribe to self-help books, or books along that line, but this book was amazing. There are some great quotes, analogies, and explanations of how to find confidence within yourself if you've somehow lost it on life's bumpy roads. It's definitely a book that everyone should read at least once in their lifetime. It's short and the writing is big so it's not "daunting," and I was surprised by how engaging it is. It makes for a great gift for someone who is going through a difficult chapter in their life, or as part of a gift basket.
I promise you won't be disappointed! Now my interest is peaked by the rest of books in this series. These books contain a lot of guidance on how to be the best person you can be.
1001 Ways to Confidence a book of quotes by Anne Moreland consists of 9 different chapters. Starting from what is confidence to gaining confidence and the guides, to trusting yourself and the path to self esteem, to finding the way and fighting your fear and finally to achieving your goal. Inside there are multiple quotes on every page from famous people to no one significant I really love the fact that this book is not a story book, but rather a book of quotes, simply because it contains the words of hundreds of different people. I have read this book more than once and recommended it to many of my friends and family because I found that it really did help me gain confidence and knowledge on aspects relating to the confidence of a person. One of my favourite quotes is “If it is to be It is up to me”, because these 10 words are so vague you can use them in any situation and that makes it more relatable. Every quote and phrase is almost relatable and that is another aspect of this book that I enjoy very much.

Overall, the book have vary meaning of confidence and how to reach it through several ways such as challenging, observing our self, laughing,ex. It’s easy to read and understand. It expand the meaning of confidence from cultural proverbs.
Looks like the publishers of this book did not expect people to actually read it. After only a few pages the quotes are repeated again in slightly different wording for each repeat.
The quotes themselves? What drivel. Terrible even. Most of them are either stating the obvious or, worse, very bad advice.
Don't get this if you need confidence. It basically tells you that all you need to do to gain confidence is to be more confident.
The publishers must have been betting on people like my friend who will pick it up in a whim because it looks cute and it might make a nice present for someone who could do with some more confidence. The person without confidence will be grateful for the gesture, read a few random pages and not be impressed then puts it on the bookshelf thinking i'll have a propper read later. There it will be buried under books and magazines only for it to emerge years later when the person is trying to have a clear-out and can feel slightly uplifted because at least they managed to get rid of one book.
