Monkey World ABC

Rate this book
What if monkeys were astronauts, pirates, cowboys and queens? This zany ABC is complimented by Matthew Porter’s bold illustrations. His images that are painted on pine boards, sanded for texture to show the wood's grain, then finished with a veneer. Edgy yet lovable, these paintings include wide-eyed janitors and ventriloquists.

Mom tells me it's hard to make a living as a hula-hooper, ventriloquist, or roller girl (for instance). I just tell her she's an old lady dream killer and that usually shuts her right up. Plus I LOVE monkeys! There's even some rumor that Mom and Dad met at some place called Monkey Mania.

Whimsically drawn monkeys hold occupations from A to Z. I loved the variety of occupations from the obvious to the silly to the unexpected - yoga instructor!

This book is great to get little kids to learn the alphabet. All of the pictures have the monkey in them so a child who really likes monkeys would enjoy this book.
