Determined to claim forever with her, Tom overcomes her insecurities only to have a freak spiral of fate change everything. Faced with a situation he cannot control, Tom hopes she remembers his words…
Rae Spencer lives in the beautiful Penns Woods, a country girl at heart, she loves to read and write romance, fantasy, and poetry. She enjoys being out in nature and loves the beauty to be found but her reclusiveness, eccentricity, and dry sarcastic sense of humor gets her in trouble at times. Rae calls herself the ‘black sheep’ of her family, being very different in personality and looks, and relishes the fact. She has a fetish for rock and roll especially bass players, peanut M&M’s, history, genealogy, and coffee.
Rae’s idea of exercise is a few swings of her hula-hoop, dancing around the living room when alone, walking up and down the stairs to do laundry, and taking care of her granddaughter. As an avid dog lover, she supports various pet related causes, and has three dogs: an AmStaff, Border Collie, and Pomeranian. Starting over in multiple aspects of her life, Rae is pursuing her dreams and has released four novella’s “Beyond A Proposition”, “For Everything”, “Only You Butterfly”, “Claiming Her Tomorrows”, and a short story “Cigány Flame” included in the anthology “Indulgence”, all released by Lazy Day Publishing.
Rae believes her love of historical romances played a large role in helping her pass her High School History classes and for cultivating her love of History. She hopes those who read her stories loose themselves for a little while in the story and leave the dredge of reality behind them forgetting their troubles, if only for a few moments.
It was a pretty short book, I liked the drama in it (Im all about the drama, and the sizzle - of course) I felt like the ending was fairly abrupt I was expecting an epilogue but there wasnt one (hence no fifth star, Im stingey with my star ratings) I really enjoyed the book all in all, her secrets were good, her mother is a bitch and I really like both Tom and her father, I only realized that they were from the same band as the other book For Everything, when I was reading the diner scene and I was confused as to why it was mentioning the band Distracted....Well done me *golf claps at intelligence* ^_^
This is the second book I read by Rae Spencer. Honestly I really like her love scenes but again in this romance the hero Tom is in love at first sight with Arianna after seeing her at one of his concert. To me this sudden love seems forced and not naturally born or developed. What saves the story is the sex scenes, however not buying the main chracter's love I read them just as a physical expression of lust and affection...not love. Then the story is very similiar to "For Everything", the same plot line. In this case the villian is heroine's mother.
An awesome read! Tom was such a sweetie....so caring and thoughtful but hot and sexy too! A perfect blend. Ari was innocent and good but scared too......but brave enough to realize Tom was one of a kind and that she should take a chance on him. This was such a sweet read in that Tom realizes she is the one and goes all out to make her feel safe and comfortable so that she will stay with him forever......aaah romance. Knight Tom will slay all her dragons for a happily ever after ending. A modern fairytale that I have read a few times.
This was the first book from Rae Spencer and although I enjoyed reading the sex scenes I could have used a little bit more ... of want exactly I'm not sure but I felt it was missing something and was a little bit to hard for me to believe. Maybe if there was more character building and story I would have given a higher rating.
Yes the writing was simple and Ariana's naivity may have been a little unbelievable (I'm sure there are girls out there who are exactly the same) but as far as I am concerned it didn't detract anything from a beautiful story. A thoroughly enjoyable book but if you don't like a lot of graphic sex then maybe it isn't the book for you.
Oh my God I read this awhileee back. I didn't even have a GR account. An oldie but a goodie. Brings back memories. What I do remember from this story is the hero. How he used such a cutie to the heroine.
three words describe this book, Lots of Sex. Even with the amount of sex (don't get me wrong i totally enjoyed it it was just alot) the story was good and it had a great happy ending.
