Falconer has never let me down. This book had me curious the whole time at the direction the story was going. And when the conclusion came about I laughed, mainly because it reminded me of a movie. Was a good one. Looking forward to the next.

Took my time savoring this one knowing I will be waiting a mighty long time for Mr. Falconer to release another work. As always, I love his attention to detail and his world building skill as a story teller. I suppose from here I will be re-reading everything to keep me busy this year.

Wow this was just non stop drama, full on action and i could not put it down.
Falconer is a clever man, he knows how to keep the tension going and the reader on the edge of their seat.

Quite far-fetched mission by SAS SIS operative Stratton, with an Integer (an international neutral assassin). Moves quickly, across continents, fanciful but fun if almost indiscriminate killing to achieve an objective the hero is yet to fathom is entertaining. A very quick 450 pages, never tedious, non-stop action.

Stratton gets involved with stopping an atomic weapon being used as a distraction in New York city to cover a gold bullion heist.

In this new John Stratton (SBS but often seconded to the Security Services)thriller, he takes part in raid in remote Afghanistan, and two accompanying Americans are very keen on recovering some data from the attacked compound.
Sometime later an old friend of Stratton, working in Military Intelligence, advises he may be targeted for death and if he was killed, would Stratton continue the investigation he was involved in. As Stratton’s friend vanishes the SBS operative goes off piste to follow the trail of a missing nuke.
Avoiding murky bad guys and mysterious motives, Stratton teams up with a woman who might be on either side, but is his only way to follow the trail. The climax ends up in New York and with a reveal that I wasn’t expecting.
Not bad. Not the best Falconer has written, but certainly an easy reading, action packed page turner.

Not having read any of Duncan Falconer's books prior to this one I gave this one a go... easy to read, larger print type, story simple and easy to understand. You dont need brain power for this one. One to take on your hols, train journey, bus ride etc. Would I read another. mmmmm possibily
