"WELCOME!!!!!

If you're not familiar with my books, I write mystery-suspense novels. I am LDS (Mormon) and so are some of my characters, but I have loyal readers from many different faiths. My goal is to engage the reader in my books. I want to make them laugh and cry and worry and dread the end.

Most of my books are set in the fictional town of Haggerty, Georgia - which is loosely based on my grandparents' hometown of Headland, Alabama (the most wonderful place on earth). Each book has an ample supply of romance, suspense, Southern hospitality and even recipies!"

Really quite enjoyed this other Haggerty mystery with Detective Mila Edwards. The author is quite redeeming LDS mystery in my eyes.

I liked this mystery significantly more than the book before this one. It was more interesting and I didn’t guess right on who the bad guy was.

Again, just a simple, quick, clean mystery. I really like Eugenia’s sarcasm and quips.

One of the things that bothers me a tiny bit for the past couple of books is that the love interests want to marry each other after only being together for a little bit. And they don’t really date that much!! How do you know that you really want to marry them?! But that’s just a personal thing for me 😂

I enjoyed reading this book. I woke up this morning thinking about the story. I was about 76% (Kindle) of the way through the story, so I had to finish it today. I had to know who done it!
I love the people of Haggerty and I want to move there. ;) I'll be reading the 5th book in the Haggerty series for sure!

Meh. There was something about this book that just didn't sit well with me. I didn't feel any chemistry between the main characters. Their relationship is one that would not be calculated to last. The mystery part was okay, but the actions of most of the police officers just didn't ring true.

It wasn't bad, just not one I would rush out and tell someone "you have to read this!"

subpar.. like ok there was ✨no✨ chemistry between the main characters and i felt like mila lacked depth? also im all for covenant publications but like this one had several references to the church/mormonism that caused a physical, whole body grimace ✨yay✨

Had a hard time getting into these characters and this story. I skimmed most of the book.

Dipping my toes back into "Mormon" fiction. Decent mystery. Typical love story where two people fall in love before they really even know each other. May try another by this author.

Well written mystery with good characters and even a sweet romance. It took me a while to solve the case along with them, so that was fun to figure out. Clean and not really cheesy.

I think this book was pretty good and I can say this is the only mystery story that I have really enjoyed to extent.

Not my favorite book in the series but still an enjoyable read.

Because my life is out of control at the moment, I needed to read some books that were fast reads but still kept my interest. I discovered Betsy Brannon Green and so far have not been disappointed in any her books that I have read. I do get a little frustrated with the editing as there are typos in every book but I guess that's what happens when authors are published by smaller publishing companies. I have to admit that I was surprised at the ending of this book and that doesn't happen often. I am now reading the follow-up book to this one and are throughly enjoying it.

I found this book in Em's room, had absolutely no idea if it was good, but I needed something to read while I got a pedicure.
Interesting beginning, colorful characters, but then I rolled my eyes when the detective was looking for clues in a house, found a Book of Mormon, a picture of the SLC temple, and garments in a drawer. "There is no way this person could be our suspect, she is a mormon, a good mormon. She wears (hesitates) special mormon underwear."
Gag me. We'll see if I continue.

Green is a good writer, which I appreciated quite a lot. It was refreshing to read something where it wasn't just happily ever after - but had a nice dose of reality in it, while still holding out some hope.

This book also reminded me how much I enjoy finding part of myself in the books I read - I like to learn more about myself and better understand how I interact with others and why I do the things I do.

This book was pleasant enough. I read it more slowly than most - over the course of about three days. I never seemed to be dying to get back to it although it was an interesting enough plotline. In fact, when I told Andy about it, he thought it sounded more interesting than any of her other books. For some reason it just ended up being really non-descript to me though.

I cant help but give it 5 stars. I think these books are so fun to read. Betsy can make things as simple as changing a diaper interesting and her characters always crack me up! A sweet romance with an edge. Great suspense novel and although often predictable, she always has a little surprise twist. I love that every time I finish one of her books, I have a big cheesy grin on my face!!!

This is another great addition to the Haggerty mystery series, but the end just didn't give me enough. I was really glad to see that these characters show up in a later novel because their story was definitely not over.

I enjoyed this book when I read it several years ago. It got me interested in more of the mystery genre. I also liked how Green incorporated romance with it - I'm a huge sucker for a good romance and a good, happy endings!

Betsy Brannon Green is a great mystery author. I always try to suspect everyone, but I'm always surprised by who the bad person is. Start reading her series with Hearts in Hiding, then keep going. They have LDS characters and culture along with a nice little romance. Read and enjoy.

Another entry in the Haggerty series; this one actually takes place in Haggerty, and is better than the second and third entries in the series but doesn't live up to the promise of Hearts in Hiding, the first entry. The story of Mila Edwards is a pretty good one, though.

I enjoyed the book. It was full of surprises and of course I enjoyed the romance. I have gotten to enjoy the Haggerty ladies. I find I can't wait to get started on the next book to see what else happens in this small town.

I love this book. It kept me guessing. It is about a detective who doesn't follow commands when it comes to children, and her job. She grows close to two kids while an investigation is going on looking for what happened for their mother and father, who are both missing! Love it!

Fun LDS mystery. I have read several of Green's books and enjoy her characters. I've lived in the south, as Green does, and I think her depiction of the southern lifestyle and characters is pretty accurate.

This was a super short book but I liked that. Sometimes a longer book makes me anxious for the end to come. I’m one of those people that if I start I won’t quit until it’s done. But this was quick and fun. No spoilers here.

I LOVE Betsy Brannon Green’s Hagerty series books. They are page turners with some very sweet romance, fun and mystery. The southern old ladies are a hoot. I highly recommend all of her books.
