This book offers real-life solutions to the emotional and physical issues pregnant women face.
The Greatest Pregnancy Ever shares little known facts that can change the entire experience of pregnancy and parenting for families. For example:

• Unmanaged stress in pregnancy can lead to a baby who cries more, sleeps less, and is anxious.
• A mother’s thoughts and feelings create chemical signals that literally form her baby’s brain and develop into emotional intelligence.
• Only during pregnancy and the first few years of a child’s life can parents truly influence who their child will become, both emotionally and physically.

All moms want to do whatever they can to positively impact the development of their child. They want to have the greatest pregnancy ever, and luckily it is possible with the information and practices in this book.

The book is organized into four parts:
B.O.N.D. - Keys to Bonding
• B-Be-ing
• O-Observing
• N-Nourishing
• D-Deciding

The keys relate to the concept of being able to B.O.N.D. This connection is imperative to the baby, the mother, and the partner for overall health and wellness. Many parents find with their busy, overscheduled, and stressful lives that seeking connection is just one more item on their to-do list. The Greatest Pregnancy Ever solves this dilemma by providing very simple tools, techniques, and tips for parents to use. They not only make connection possible, but ease stress and improve parents’ daily lives and their relationships. Start today by embracing motherhood in an entirely new way—start by having the greatest pregnancy ever!

As a perinatal relationship specialist, I highly recommend this book. It's not just about having the greatest pregnancy ever, but about creating the bonds between mother, father/partner (the book is inclusive of gay and lesbian couples as well) and baby that provide a strong structure for a new family.

The Greatest Pregnancy ever supports a woman to connect with her newly emerging mother-self, to expand her awareness of what motherhood entails, to seek out information to prepare for her new life, the importance of stress reduction for her and her baby, and bonding for the whole family. I particularly love that there is a whole chapter devoted to the parent's relationship as information on this is sorely needed to prepare a couple and yet sadly missing from most pregnancy resources.

This book provides information, not just for the best pregnancy ever, but for the best start to a family ever, in many different ways.

I only read the third trimester part, as that is where I am currently. I enjoyed reading about how my baby is maturing and that the pound a week growth is what is making me increasingly uncomfortable (besides swelling and poor sleep). That an innie bellybutton turning outtie is a good sign. Visualizing the birth experience you want can help when in labor.

It also has a few exercises to practice every day. It has other good suggestions that I have already heard in my non-hospital birthing class. It talks about sex after birth, ways to keep intimacy during the healing time. It also discusses prenatal and postpartum mood disorders.

Great tips for fluid retention, heartburn, restless legs, and stretch marks.

One topic which I thought was weird to be in the third trimester section was where to plan to have your baby. That, to me, seems like something you want to start deciding in your first trimester because you'll want to be seeing the doc or midwife throughout your whole pregnancy.

I'm not pregnant, nor have I ever been pregnant, but this book has a lot of interesting information on the role your brain and body play in your pregnancy. It gives great suggestions beyond just eating well and taking supplements, and also includes about a million other things you should be considering for your birth and first few months.

I would not suggest someone who is easily offended by evolution read this book as it has references to same. It is also not religion specific or gender specific, simply referring to your belief system as your "source" (and encouraging having a source if you haven't found one) and the other parent simply as the "partner". The authors also promote alternatives to hospital birth, and often refer to hospitals being full of rules and stress.

All that being said, I found the book informative and calming and will be reading it again in the future when it's my time to be a mom.

I only wish this book had been available during my first pregnancy! A refreshing departure from the typical pregnancy books, with everything pertinent that those books contain. So happy this book is available to women and families!

I really liked this book through the first 2 trimesters. It connected. It had good ideas on how to help moms find "conscious agreement". However, by the 3rd trimester portion, it felt much less supportive and suddenly far more directive.

Definitely worth reading! This is such a refreshing change from the normal what to freak out about during pregnancy literature.
