I saw a Tik Tok and really wanted to like this book, but I couldn’t. Kitty is unbearable, as are quite literally all of the other characters. The weird sexual tension between Kitty & Raven and the jealously from their love interests is just unnecessary. The overall plot had a good idea, but the writer failed to deliver a good story.

I liked Madden.
I know we aren't supposed to call people stupid. But kitty was stupid. She was irate and got on my nerves like no other. The miscommunication was unreal when it came to her. She could have explained things but she gave stupid excuses that made no sense.
The brother was stupid too.
Both of them had me rolling my eyes too many times.

This was baaaaad, at one point I was positive an AI wrote this, I read it on kindle unlimited (thank god) and I used the search function to see that the word “whilst” had been used 59 times…at one point it was used twice in one sentence. What a 20 something cowboy turned rock star with a lip ring is doing saying “whilst” every other sentence is beyond me. And listen I’m a big fan of the jealousy, protective guy shtick, but she took a drink of a beer, in a bar, that you and her brother took her to. Also why does it feel like literally everyone is trying to hook up with each other? One second Kitty and her bestie Raven are having a bi-curious moment in the hot tub, the next Raven is reader her pocket bible? Da-fuq?
This was not just the worst book I’ve ever read, it was the most poorly written and thought out book I’ve ever read.

Apparently I'm a masochist, since I decided to read the second book (this one) in the series even tho I hated the first one.
For some reason I thought this book would be a little bit better than the 1st one, considering that at least they weren't going to be teenagers. But no:
- The characters are a disaster.
- From the beginning the main characters are in love or at least attracted to each other. We know that they had their moment in Kitty's prom, but the truth is that there is not much background of their story.
- I don't understand why the characters act immaturely and as if they were children who don't know how to speak. They are having sex and they are embarrassed to say sexual things??? but it's not like they don't have experience??? They are 20/21 yo for God's sake!
- Apparently the MMCs in this series have a breeding kink because Tate (1st book guy) was talking about wanting a baby since he was like 16, and in this one, Madden risks having unprotected sex knowing that Kitty doesn't use any birth control (this happens like twice??)
- I guess Kitty is bisexual because out of nowhere there is sexual tension with her friend River (fmc from the first book) and that makes Madden and Tate jealous?? although in part you can see that they are playing…There are several moments like this, where these guys act possessively 🚩
- The possible conflict in the story is resolved without much trouble, even before it becomes a real problem. The same thing happened in the first book, so it's the way the author writes, which is so anticlimactic.
The positive thing is that it’s a short book, so the torture doesn't last long :)

Loved the second book just like the first one! This is the second book I’ve read from the author and I’ve enjoyed it a lot!
I really enjoy reading brothers best friend tropes! The chemistry the characters have between each other the tension and grovelling I just couldn’t stop reading!
Kitty and Madden relationship is the cutest! His pov didn’t not make me cringe I quite enjoyed it! I loved how his thoughts were cute and clumsy he’s such a gentleman the tension is really between the two!
Fav moments and quotes:-
“I’ll bite you,” she threatens.“I thought you were a vegetarian.”She huffs then mumbles, “I won’t let that stop me.”I bite back a groan. I hope to hell you won’t.
“Eyes up here, princess,”

2.5 stars! Madden deserved better, and I was the one he deserved. I detested the fact that Kitty seemed to favor Tyler in the beginning. Madden, I'm sorry, but I would treat you better. Yes, the issue and redemption were resolved, but screw that. I AM BETTER.
