Sometimes dreams can be enlightening but for Jessica they are a constant torment, for she grieves the loss of her father. Her stepmother has shipped her off to Blakesby, a boarding school for the elite, where Jessica’s only friend is her peppy roommate Karrie.
Mid-Semester mysterious cousins Daniel and Sebastian arrive shaking up Jessica’s moody existence. Daniel is smart, sexy, and absolutely infuriating; while Sebastian is fun and flirtatious. But Jessica has no time to dwell on why these two have transferred to her school and seem to seek out her friendship…she’s got a much bigger problem. Karrie has disappeared. Now Jessica must enlist Daniel and Sebastian’s help and go on a journey that will ultimately uncover the secrets of her own past; throwing her into a world where mythical creatures become reality…

Although there seem to be some typos I quite enjoyed the story. It was a quick read and the characters were well written. I'm hoping the second book comes out soon!

Jessica is exiled at boarding school for her own protection. After two new students show up, she finds that her protection includes from creatures she never knew existed. She soon finds she has a past and present filled with tons of secrets.

I liked the book, and it read well until the ending for me. It felt like it was building and building but the ending felt very sudden for me. I know this is a series, but as I have commented before, there needs to be a cohesive feeling and somewhat an ending, even when planning a sequel. It felt like the ending was very abrupt. This made the story feel incomplete. I hate to be left hanging waiting for another book..... and for 99cents I would buy the next book also.

I thought it was a good read and for 99cents not bad.

This book grabbed me from the beginning. It was light hearted and the characters were entertaining. I hope that in book two the author goes into detail about the character Sarah. I'm interested in understanding her actions and her past with Jessica's father. I anxiously await book 2. :)
