It’s a very good read by journalist Mark Ethridge about a small-town journalist in a rural area who is trying to keep his local newspaper alive, facing all the difficulties of small-town papers, plus uncovering horrible local corruption. There’s a love interest thrown in as well. Mark is a very good writer and the story holds together and reaches an interesting climax which I won’t describe here. I picked up because i used to work for Mark and admire him as an editor, but who doesn’t love stories in which the newspaper reporter/editor is the hero?
