Metawhore; My Cock Don't Talk Politics

Rate this book
Metawhore is without doubt the most controversial autobiography of 2012. The author cleverly fuses a thoroughly entertaining life story with thought provoking philosophy. Buried within the pages is a mirror that consistently reflects the sub-conscious of the reader, asking questions of the self usually considered taboo? Humorous, morally challenging, honest, unapologetic and wholly addictive, Metawhore is not just a compelling read but arguably the most sexually insightful book of the decade.

When i first grabbed this book, i thought i would just learn about power via handling prostitutes and strippers. My final opinion is far from that.

I never really expected to extract so much wisdom from the debauchery and degradation this man has lived in. The exact epitome of "Bottom World", kidding aside.
Surprised i even learned some good sexual hygiene in it.

Interesting, Fascinating

A fascinating book, about Eric’s life as a explorer of the body, sexuality, human psyche.. he is always pushing the boundary for what is possible.. A great memoir and book about his own interpretation of both his life the philosophyof the world and the world in general..A master of his own artistry of living... Sometimes I missed some practical advise.. I know he has a lot of knowledge in practice... next book eric could be more practical about getting to where u want in life!

Despite it being controversial, edgy and highly rated - I found it boring and repetitive. Couldn't read it, not my cup of tea.

What’s the composition of a great life? The essence of what one may consider being a fulfilled existence?
In my own journey, as incipient as it might be, I have comprehended that what makes one’s life something worthy of the name, is being connected with who you truly are.
There is a great power in flowing, effortlessly being what you want. It is you manifesting your reality, shaping your own life, creating your world ACTIVELY, not reacting to preconceived ideas of what it is supposed to be.

Be your truth, speak your truth, and nothing else.
“I took the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference.” Robert Frost

We tend to judge people for their looks, the author looks like a meathead, the title might mislead people to think it is sexist, the book is very sensible in the subjects it explores and I would recommend it for both men and women. As in the title of the book, you have to go beyond the judgment, beyond the common place and appreciate the teaching of a life devoted to learning.

Do not let the cover or the title of the book deceive you, this is a well-written book that goes deep from psychology and dating advice to spirituality and philosophy. Always using great humor, his advices are well founded.

This book tells you a story of a man that did not conform and could not accept to be shaped by society’s regulations. These regulations that are often great for the state and institutions but horrible for the individuals, the same regulations that the vast majority of individuals accept without being even aware of it. The author describes it as consensual consciousness.
The story of a man obsessed with learning and experimenting this book could be described as the great learning curve of a life.

The author is not afraid to appear human in the book and talk about his relationship with his family and his own past mistakes.

This book taught me:

How to wrestle against a transgendered beauty queen from hell…No...
…How to detect smells from a woman’s…Nahh…
…This book taught me the power residing in the journey, there is power in movement, the journey is the prize. And also not to judge a book by its cover.

Most beautiful quote in the book:

“A man should always aspire to be the most powerful, loving form of self-expression he can be.”

“This was a low moment in my career, but hey, shit happens. Live, learn and move on”.

i’ve got to admit that i have a bias towards this one. i know the author. and it deals with an industry i can directly relate to.

it’s got the boldness and honesty of bukowski . and as depraved as that can get. it’s got the spirituality and sexual freedom of tom robbins. little life lessons are taught in the art of manliness. real manliness. beyond the ego driven illusion of male society centered around that love em and leave em mentality. but seriously. this fool like to get down. and isn’t hesitant to talk about his boners. nasty motherf*cker. just kidding. ok. no i’m not.

it also takes a look into the misconception of women. and how society views womens sexuality. forced to repress what's natural. and confined by social and religious dogma. by labeling women who are comfortable with their sexuality as amoral. f*cked up. and whores.

there's also an interesting look into the strip club. you'd be surprised how eye opening the experience can be. and how it can prove to be a learning ground of social interaction. some good. and some bad.

so what i’ve taken away from this book is. 1.have a purpose. 2.live outside of your comfort zone. 3.sexual relationships should be as natural as having a conversation. 4.what works for you. may or may not work for me. so do your own thing.

great book. i have a 21 year old brother that needs to read this.

This book was a fascinating insight into the life of a man who has lived on the fringe of social norms. It will expand your mind to show you what's truly possible; not only in the areas of sexuality, but personal development and spirituality as well. Eric writes his life story in a very straight forward fashion and that makes him relatable (at times) and the book an easy, yet thrilling read. The outrageous stories entertain just as much as they inspire. This book will reframe a lot of the outdated models surrounding male-female dynamics and give you a fresh, more empowering outlook on relationships and sexuality.

I've been following Eric's work for years, and have tremendous respect for his contributions, his caring nature, badass-ness, and humility. He truly personifies the "teach-by-example" concept. It was great to hear the stories that made the man. If you're looking for a book to stretch your mind and get some insight into how to live life on your own terms, crack this one open and dive in.

This book, in my opinion, belongs in every mans library. The content inside this book has so much value, any man would be stupid to pass on reading it.

Forget self-help and magic pill titles, hoping that some how you will become a superior male. This book takes you on a real mans journey of facing fear, anxiety and limiting beliefs.

Whilst this title does not offer you a guide or map. The stories of Eric Sydow will impact you in ways you cannot anticipate.

I for one changed after reading this book, and I developed a better sense of awareness and attitude towards life. I become more confident in myself, and it provoked me to learn more about my mind and behaviours.

If this book doesn't help you when it comes to personal growth as a male, I don't know what will. Mystery method, perhaps? Haha What a joke.
