They run a gauntlet of gangsters, dictators and politicians surviving by dint of combat skills and negotiation. Sam fights his prejudices from the Thannit war as he is forced to work with Thannit underground agents. Janet is found and her theories are vindicated with Klimmn's help. Errors in quantum gravity theory are exposed. Will the universe survive?
