Gömmedim kitabı kesinlikle bunlar ufak tefek şeyler tutkuları yaşananlar her şey güzeldi yeterliydi. Tavsiye de ediyorum kitabı bu arada. Okuyacaklara keyifli okumalar.
If you are a Maureen Smith fan we all know that our girl can write some great love scenes (Hence Stan & Prissy on that fire pole), but Mrs. Smith took it up to a whole other level with this book. I'm going to have to put my vote in to move this one to the erotica category because it was that and so much more. There was a little DS from BDSM thrown in there as well which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was tastefully done so don't let that scare you away. Remy and Zandra whew! If you read Whatever You Like (which is a must read before this book) you will know that the chemistry between those two had been brewing for a while. They were great together physically, but they also had a super strong friendship which was their foundation and made their coupling even better. Maureen's description of Remy was so on point, that every time he came into a scene I could just picture him in his combat boots with those muscles rippling everywhere, ready to love his woman, and protect her by any means necessary. Even though he and Roderick are identical twins, there is just something about Remy that makes you want to tear him up! I loved the interaction of the Brand clan, and I had no idea they ran so deep. With all of those attractive Brand men, I see a long and juicy series on the horizon for them. Mrs. Smith, please do not make us wait another 2yrs for the next chapter in this saga! Well done as usual!!
I was thrilled to be asked to write a review of this story for the blog Smart Bitches Trashy Books! I'm pasting the review here, and I'll put the link at the bottom :-)
The sequel to Whatever You Like, Any Way You Want It, features the romance between Remington and Zandra. Remington runs a security consulting firm, having been discharged under unclear circumstances from the military three years prior where he had been working as a SEAL. Zandra has been his friend since they were young children. He’s had strong romantic feelings for her for years, but has never done anything about it.
Zandra on the other hand values her friendship with Remy and has only in the last six months started to see him in a new light – a far more dangerous and attractive light. Realizing that Zandra is finally seeing him as a man and not just as a friend, Remy makes his move. But he’s also hiding something from her, a secret that when she finds out might blow all his good intentions and her faith in him out of the water.
The story is told in dual points of view which I really enjoyed as I always like to know the thoughts of both characters in the relationship. Remy’s feelings for Zandra are made clear from the first chapter:
Remy Brand had a secret. Not the kind of secret he’d been sworn to keep in his former life – secrets involving classified intelligence and covert operations in dark, treacherous jungles. Secrets that were matters of national security. No this secret was far more personal. Far more dangerous.
He was in love with Zandra. Madly, deeply, hopelessly in love with the woman. And it was killing him. Killing him.
While they are in St. Lucia, celebrating the marriage of his brother Roderick and new wife Lena, Remy finally lets slip some of the emotions that he feels for Zandra, in his eyes and in his touch. Her reaction to it gives the sense that Remy is going to have his hands full convincing Zandra to give him a chance:
When they reached the door to Zandra’s room, Remy had brushed her cheek lightly with the back of his knuckles and mouthed, See you soon, before sauntering down the hall to his own room. Long after they parted ways, the warmth of his touch had lingered on her skin. Technically nothing had happened between them. Yet something had definitely changed. Zandra sensed it, like a tremor erupting beneath the ground before an earthquake erupts. It scared her shitless.
Zandra is a highly attractive, business minded, smart, capable woman. But she’s had a traumatic childhood (one that Remy is privy to) and this has given her pause in trusting men. She’s afraid that their friendship will be ruined if they sleep together, and she values that friendship more than anything.
Remy appears on the surface to be a more casual laid back man than his twin brother. He’s still an alpha male, still the man in pursuit, but he generally takes a more congenial approach to life – except where his business or his family and friends are concerned. When push comes to shove, he’s not afraid to do what is necessary to protect them. Up until now he’s not pressured Zandra for anything more, but seeing the flicker of desire in her eyes (finally!) pushes him to show her what she’s been missing.
The sex scenes are hot, emotional and feature prominently throughout, as I expected would be the case having now had a taste for how this author writes. Though Remy is the instigator, they are both equal partners in the bedroom and don’t shy away from expressing what they want.
The sex in this book is a little more daring than I’ve seen in other Harlequin books. Interestingly, Whatever You Like was published in October 2010 and Any Way You Want It was published in November 2012. In between that time, the phenomenon known as Fifty Shades was published. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or not, but the sex scenes in Roderick’s story, although very steamy, were pretty traditional. On the other hand in this story, you get some voyeurism, role play and toys (helped in part by a very interesting visit to a museum of sex in London). It may be that the author felt that romance readers were willing to accept more variation in the bedroom after the success of Fifty Shades. At any rate, this one adds some kink.
Zandra’s escort agency is her pride and joy and plays a key role in the story. Her choice to run this kind of business, which is more often thought to be a call girl agency by the public (and which she constantly seems to have to defend) causes conflict with her estranged and abusive father. He’s running for Mayor and the last thing he wants is the scandal of her business ruining his chances. The concept that working for an escort agency would be empowering for women was a bit overdone in my opinion. But I admired her backbone and willingness to stand up to the public and her father in promoting her right to run any kind of business she wants to.
Along with Zandra’s father, the Brand family is more developed here as secondary characters, siblings to Roderick and Remington being featured in such a way as to introduce the possibility of future stories in the series. The camaraderie of the family, and the witty and humorous dialogue resonated with me as I also come from a large family.
This story definitely had a more serious tone to it due to the nature of Zandra’s childhood and the conflict with her father. I found it to be a well written and entertaining plot and a believable and sexy romance between Remy and Zandra. I give this one a B+, and I hope we’ll see more of the Brand family in the future.
My first book from this author and I really enjoyed it. I usually only read historical romances as to me, reading books is an escape from reality so I prefer the book to be as far away as possible from the current modern world.
But this book surprised me. The chemistry between Remy & Zandra was great, seeing as they were childhood friends and the transition of them slowly seeing each other as man and woman wasn’t too forced or rushed.
The writing flowed well, with no overthinking, and actions actually made. The sentences were short and sweet and easy for me to digest & the plot wasn’t too complicated.
The sex was great and super descriptive—the way I like it. I just love that they can’t keep their hands off each other and were just having sex every 2 chapters or so.
Remy was one huge hottie and it made me want him for myself as well. Zandra seemed like a very cool and independent woman whom I would click with.
While it was a wonderful read, it would have been nice if the author showed more scenes of them having fun together as children for me to better relate to their relationship being very comfy. It seemed as if they were in love with each other from the beginning so the romance development wasn’t very much. It’d be nice if we saw more bonding.
A great full circle romance by Maureen that left me wanting more and I can already tell that River's story is going to be next and I can't wait for it! Remington was uber sexy and I just love his interactions with Zandra. There were great love scenes and I wouldn't be opposed to getting a short story on Heath :P
This is definitely a must read to anyone who likes a good romance novel.
ilk kitaptan 10 kat daha güzeldi remy ve zandra'yı bayaaaa sevdim çok sevimlilerdi okuması baya keyifliydi ama bence karakterler yazarda harcanmış biraz amatörce kalmış bazı yerleri maalesef... çerezlikti okuduk eğlendik 👍🏻
Zandra Kennedy is facing the age old dilemma of seeing an old friend in a new light. Growing up, she spent a lot of time in the Brand household in order to escape the dysfunction in her own home and as a result has always seen Remington as a big brother of sorts. But a getaway to St. Lucia to celebrate the wedding of Remy's twin brother, Roderick to Zandra's friend and former employee, Lena, has forced her to realize their friendship may be changing.
Although Zandra has resigned to keep these feelings to herself, Remy has other plans for her, on & off the island. His plans are difficult to implement, however, when Zandra's past has come back to haunt her and jeopardize her reputation and that of the high-end (legitimate) escort service that she has worked so hard to build.
Maureen Smith never disappoints me and this may be her steamiest yet. If you haven't already, make sure to read Whatever You Like first to read Lena & Roderick's story and to get more background on Zandra's agency.
Maureen Smith's Any Way You Want It has a title that seems to be the right fit for an erotic romance, but the title is actually closer in spirit to the detached and perpetually bored kid behind the counter asking me in a monotone, "Welcome to Burger King, we make your burgers any way you want it... fries or onion rings with that, madam?" There are many, many familiar tropes here, all thrown together without any cohesion, as if the author is throwing everything into the magic burger in hope that I would like something out of the whole mess.
Zandra Kennedy wants ex-Navy SEAL Remington "Remy" Brand bad. The fact that he's an ex-Navy SEAL just happens to be thrown in here, not that it has much relevance to the big picture - I guess it's just a short hand for "big penis" or something. Remy wants her just as bad too, but she doesn't want to hook up with the man because it would ruin their friendship. However, everyone else here, even strangers, can immediately sense that Zandra and Remy are just begging to boink one another (maybe it's the prominence of Remy's "big bulge" every time he's in a scene) so I don't know why she is fighting so hard. Then again, if she doesn't do this, we don't have much of a story.
These two have a one-night stand, one that goes the whole nine yards and then some more, when they meet while Zandra is holidaying in the Caribbean with the rest of Remy's family. Even this setting is an excuse to promote the previous book - Zandra's BFF married Remy's twin brother, and those two newlyweds have everyone they know tag along for the honeymoon. The better to promote how happy and often-shagged they are, naturally, while cheerleading the two on during the refractionary period because they can just tell that Zandra and Remy are meant to join body parts together, forever and ever.
Back in the USA, Zandra is like, okay, playtime over, time to keep those hot legs shut and pretend that the whole oral-anal-vaginal party of the year thing is done with. Remy is like, hell no, here comes my pee-pee, except the external conflict rears its head and forcefully penetrates the rear end of their budding boink-mance of the millennium.
You see, Zandra runs the top escort agency in Illinois. She insists that she's not a pimp because that her girls only sleep with their customers voluntarily and free of charge. The guys only pay for platonic comforts. Now you know why this agency is the most popular in that place. Her BFF was previously her employee and this BFF slept with her client (Remy's brother) without much ado, but that's not a whore thing because it's true love. Read all about if you are still skeptical.
Anyway, Zandra. I don't know why the author tries so hard to make her own plot look so ridiculous. If she doesn't want people to consider her heroine a happy pimp, why not have Zandra own a maid-for-hire agency instead? This story has issues. It's like a Harlequin Mills & Boon heroine - it wants to let its hair down and have fun, but is afraid that people will call it a whore, so it tries to be a happy whore only halfway and ends up looking completely stupid.
Anyway, Zandra's father wants to get actively involved in politics, and he wants Zandra to close down her business. Because her father is a cruel asshole, Zandra gives him the finger. Meanwhile, the man's rival wants Remy to dig up the dirt on Zandra so that the man can discredit Zandra's father. Remy is like, okay, I can't do that to the woman I love but OH GOD THE WORLD PUTS SO MUCH PRESSURE ON ME SO I MUST NOBLY PROCEED TO HURT HER. Naturally, he starts pawing Zandra's employees as a client and making her go all jealous and mad while hating himself, but he has to do it, or else someone else would hurt Zandra just like he would hurt her, and that would be bad. Don't hate him, readers, he's suffering the pawing of other hussies because it's all for Zandra's own good!
The rest of the story progresses exactly like you'd think it would, and the characters are exactly what you'd think they are. There are no shortage of clichés and stereotypes here, all tossed together in a plot that doesn't make much sense. Characters here do stupid things for the sake of being stupid.
The story isn't sexy either, because the author exaggerates everything - every dance is so provocative, every bulge is so big, every orgasm is so explosive - to the point that the whole thing feels like a parody of a lurid bodice-ripper. Or a "sexy tale" written by someone whose imagination resides at least fifteen galaxies away from actual reality where sex and sensuality is concerned.
Any way I slice it, Any Way You Want It is just too daft for its own good.
Elite For You Companions is a legitimate escort service with a strict rule: companionship, not sex. The owner, Zandra Kennedy, prides herself on running a successful business. She will allow no one to ruin her career. Former Navy SEAL Remington Brand is Zandra's childhood friend. He's been keeping a secret for years. Pssst...he is in love with Zandra! The friends spend a Caribbean vacation together that leads to mind-blowing, passionate encounters. Remy wants more, but will Zandra want her fantasies to become reality? Meanwhile, a betrayal could shatter their lifelong friendship and compromise the escort service.
I've wanted to read more about Zandra and Remington's friendship after reading Whatever You Like. The pair have been friends only for over 25 years. I was curious to know whether their friendship would develop into more; whether the wait for a new book about a Brand brother was worth it. And yes, it was. Any Way You Want It lived up to my expectations. Maureen Smith flawlessly told this erotic love story. It is sizzling, steamy and romantic.
Any Way You Want It will be published next Tuesday, November 13. Be sure to download or purchase a copy of this erotic fiction book. Find out if it has a happy ending (pun all the way intended).
Any Way You Want It, was a great read for true Maureen Smith fans. I was really anticipating reading Zandra & Remy's story and it lived up to all the hype of waiting to finally read it. The characters were very well developed. The budding love between friends was heartfelt and true romance at it's best and the love scenes were burn up the sheets HOT!! The poignant and descriptive scenes allow the readers to experience and relate to the roller coaster of emotions that the heroine and hero are taken on in their love story. The couple faced their fair share of adversity but their years of friendship coupled with their new love was strong enough to withstand it all and provided a true HEA story. This author is a brilliant writer who always puts out quality work. Can't wait for her next release!!
Every new book Maureen Smith writes is my favorite book. I love this author she does not mass produce books if she writes 5 books every year they will be among the best you have read that year. Any Way You Want It is the latest book that is in my list of favorites and Zandra and Remy what a couple . Remy the quintessential alpha male had me humming in this book, that man moved in on Zandra on mission to have her as his wife and did not give up until he got what he wanted. The first time they were together I thought oh this is so passionate then he said , what he said ( you have to read it to see)that is when I first started humming. I loved Zandra she was a strong sexy character herself who knew fight for what she wanted. This is a wonderful book and I can't wait to read the next story form the Brand Family .
I've read all but one of Maureen Smith's books and I loved them all because she can just flat out write. But this book, is THEEE hottest that she has ever written. I could not put it down. Lawdhammercy!!! Zandra and Remy's chemistry was off the charts and their lovemaking? Scorching! Most books give you two love scenes, with only one that really describes what happens. I loved that this one gave descriptive scenes each time they made love - and they made love several times. Loved, loved, loved, that! Whew, this one...Maureen did her thang with this one. Buy it and read it - you are going to LOVE it!
It was good enough till the betrayal, then I would have not done what she did, but the book was believable enough, even it the characters were a little bit of too much: too beautiful, too successful, too rich and too good to be true ;)
Awesome story! Protector, hero, friend, lover- Remy and Zandra have been friends since they were teenagers. Remy's family was Zandra's escape from her abusive father. They absolutely adore her and she is included in all of the family gatherings. Zandra doesn't want to jeopardize her and Remy's friendship but her love for him is causing Zandra to break all of her rules. But will Remy risk it all as he rescues Zandra from her dangerous father one final time? Nicely Done.
Remington Brand & Zandra Kennedy have been friends for 25 years. Who could you trust more with who you are then a friend that has been there for you through it all? The answer to this question surprises Zandra to the core. Her world is turned upside down and Remy must make it right.
He can make it all right for me any day of the week.

This is a romance novel complete with all of the details that go with it! Think Pretty Woman, meet Officer and a Gentleman, meet Fifty Shades of Gray. TOTALLY addictive and I truly LOVED reading this book! Great spring break read!!
OMG!!!! I thought Roderick was hot. Remy is all that and then some! The chemistry between him and Zandra was incredible! When Remy fell he fell hard! I couldn't put this book down! I look forward to reading more about the Brand brothers! Highly recommend reading this series.
I loved this book just as much as the first. This was another page turner. Maureen Smith as a wonderful arthur and all of her books that I've read always keeps my attention.
It was an easy read, I liked the Remy character . I gave this 3 stars because some of the storyline was unrealistic to me. For example if Remy was released from his military duties due to a special ops operation that went bad (even though the real reason was changed as a cover up) why would his security company be hired to perform special op assignments? That's what the special op organizations for. Plus I've never known or heard of the military reinstating or offering to reinstate anyone after releasing them for undesirable behavior. And if the escorts working for Zandra are single parents, or working on their degrees, or just trying to improve their lifes, trying to survive how was it ok for Skylar to take a client and there not be some type of backlash? How could Zandra not see this as not having her employees backs? How could she not see this as being unfair? I know this is a fictional story but these type of things stand out to me.
Loved this book. When I initially purchased the book, I began reading and then put it down in the first chapter. I wasn't a fan of Zandra. But I recently picked it backhand saw that I was mistaken. What a well written book. The characters are actually very relatable. Remy is a Man's Man and my favorite a Navy guy. He was so perfect for Zandra and I was rooting for him all the way. I also appreciated how the topic of Escort Services was handled. People often out their own hangup and issues into how they handle uncomfortable or unfamiliar topics. I will be interested in seeing how some of the other characters are tackled in future books. I'm very interested in Morgan and River. Truly enjoyed the read.
