The Last Name Banks
Chloe Banks has always been known for her political, powerful billionaire last name and of course, naturally, for her money. Now she's ready to show to the world there is more to her than what meets the eye. She's more than the prim debutante from a privileged background. Yes, her father may be running for President and her mother may be the socialite of the year, never lifting a finger unless it's to sip a flute of champagne, but Chloe is just like any other normal twenty-three year old, wanting to love and be loved, wanting to make her own mark in this world.
So Chloe moves temporarily with her two friends to Venezuela to serve in an orphanage as a nurse. But it is there she faces the same prejudices she is running away from, including the judgment from the incredibly good-looking orphanage facilitator and a few grumpy doctors. Chloe has to learn to let go of others' assumptions of who she is so she can finally live her life free. But will she?
The Last Name Banks is part of the "Living, Loving, and Laughing Again series", but can be read as a stand alone novel.

I have been waiting to read this book since I finished reading The Last Page, but it was well worth the wait!! The Last Name Banks is Chloe's story and it picks up from when the girls are headed to Venezuela for three months where Chloe will serve as a nurse at an orphanage. When Chloe, Norah, and Maycee arrive in Venezuela, they are greeted by a woman, Josephina, who is very sweet and kind hearted. They meet the orphanage's Pastor who is very rude to Chloe in the beginning, but extremely nice toward Norah and Maycee. In my opinion, Chloe's story is VERY different from Norah''s, but in a good way; Chloe's story was more about self-discovery, hope…trying to escape the image that people were painting of her just because of her last name. I was extremely excited to see that Lacy mentioned more stuff from the media, for example, the movie Arthur, Giada from the Food Network, Kate Middleton, and even Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce. I love that Maycee's motto was "Who run the world". I felt extremely sorry for Chloe almost throughout the entire story because I felt as if people weren't taking her seriously. There were a lot of things I loved about this book…I loved Elder's character and thought the part with him was hilarious, I loved how it mentioned Spanish words and sentences, I also loved how this book had just the right balance of a romantic aspect, but also of a Christianity/spiritual aspect…I thought it gave the book a great touch. Overall, I absolutely loved this book…I can't wait to read Maycee's story…and I absolutely can't wait to see what Lacy comes up with after the Living, Loving and Laughing Again series is over!!

This is the first book I've read by Lacy Camey and I really enjoyed it!
If I understand correctly this is a continuation of the book The Last Page but could also be read as a stand alone book.
I thought it a cute romantic "fluff" book if you know what I mean. It was easy to read and contained no language or sex which was refreshing.
Well done Ms. Camey!

This was another clean romance and "find yourself" type book. The last one in the series isn't out for a while but I will get that one too!

Light east read. It was fun getting to know these characters after reading the first book by Camey.
