This was the weakest of all the commando compilations, only 1 good story Island of Fear, the rest are poorly written and or drawn. Disappointing, buy it if you are collecting all but otherwise choose another, the others are much better.

As a comic book artist myself, I enjoyed the excellent black and white artwork but unfortunately the artists were not credited. I particularly liked the stories - MAORI CHALLENGE set during the Maori Wars in New Zealand during the 1860s, (which also had the best artwork), as well as ISLAND OF FEAR - set in the jungles of Borneo fighting the Japanese during World War 2. Some of the other stories, however, were somewhat predictable. Overall, reading COMMANDO: ANZACS AT WAR was enjoyable and well-worth the 4 stars.

Not the best collection of stories, but there are a number of very good stories included. Covers a number of different wars (WWI, WWII, Vietnam etc). Some stories don't have great graphics (well not the usual standard for Commando anyway - in my opinion)... But still worth reading
