I had hoped that Why Lord? The book of Job for today would provide some much-needed insight into the issues highlighted in the Book of Job, and provide some sage advice for living today. but I was disappointed! I don't know if my expectations were too high, too of the mark, or just unrealistic. If you pick this book up and read it with no particular need or expectation then you will probably enjoy the preacher-esqe nature of the narrative. However, I found it lacklustre and bland.
