Maksuan has shied away from women who used their wiles to get his attention, but the shy Terran shines in every room she enters. He tries to get closer to her and when he finds out why she is dodging him, he takes action and removes clothing.

We met Maksuan a few episodes ago. He's uncomfortable with his planet's pressure for him to take a mate, but is willing to try things out. She's a former law enforcement agent who was captured and tortured by one of the criminals she was going to arrest. Now she's just returning to society and is fragile emotionally--definitely not ready to be paraded around along with other women a la The Bachelor. He helps her heal emotionally and move past her trauma. She challenges him and brings him joy. They are a great match.

It was a nice quick read and another Terran X Avatar couple. This was a unique short story with the hero and heroine had an experience of suffering and overcoming them. It had a good world building.
